Hotel Empire is centrally located in Manhattan. It’s in the heart of downtown and close to fine dining options and shops. It’s close to Julliard and the various shops. The hotel itself needs to be upgraded and improved. The staff however is super friendly and accommodating. The facilities could use a refresh especially bathrooms. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made me feel welcome and accommodated every request.

It's all about location, location, location. If you're in the city for opera, Symphony, or ballet, even plays, they're all across the street. No Uber, no taxi needed. Also walkable to great restaurants and shopping in Time Warner Center and Central Park.

Safe was broken in my room. Staff had bad attitude regarding fixing it. Finally finished around midnight. Problem was desk and rude security guard, not other staff. I had to call house keeping too to clean up the mess left from placing a new safe. Truly poor whining weekend desk service.

I had to leave the hotel and check in someplace else because my heat was broken and they refused to refund me. The property photographs reasonably well but is kind of a dump. It’s shabby and ill kept. My room faced an interior shaft and noise is unbearable. Location is good. Do not recommend.

Good hotel for the price we paid. Staff was excellent! Our room was great in that it had two doubles and a pool out couch so that it could accommodate my wife and three kids and me. But the shower had no pressure, shelf in the shower for the soup and shampoo was falling off and there was no coffee in the rooms or hotel. They also had no kitchen in the hotel so you couldn't get food. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay. Great area in NYC! So convenient.

Hotel was very dusty. Loud, construction, police sirens, washrooms in the room weren’t really up to my standards. They shouldn’t be charging that much for an uograded motel 6 type hotel

This Hotel is a Motel. The rooms are extremely outdated and there’s stains on curtains and carpets. The bathroom was appalling, cracks everywhere and was so outdated.

Empire Hotel is a classic older hotel with a lot of character. It was close to restaurants and shops and very walkable. With any older hotel, there was some dated features that could use some updating, but not that important. The AC in our room was not working, so it became hot and uncomfortable. Engineering tried to repair, but they couldn't fix it. We just left the windows open all night, which caused some additional noise in the room.

This was relatively cheap so I expected a tiny room. But I didn't expect broken outlets, blinds, and temp control. Bathroom so tiny I couldn't close the door without standing in the shower. Pretty ridiculous.

The property is good. Just be prepared that the walls are very thin, there really should be additional maintenance to the property ( some peeling wallpaper), and there is a $100 pet fee. I found the pet fee really high compared to the other hotels. However the staff (especially Niya) is o be very accommodating and courtesy. Our room was very clean.

Ac was broken. Room temp was 76 and also room was dirty and the door was open when we first got to the room. We were told that somebody would go and clean the room but nobody did.

The staff from the moment I got out of the car, were friendly and eager to please. The hotel is dated but very comfortable. The room had a chair and couch along with 2 queen beds. The view was not good but I wasnt there to look out the window. It is located in the middle of Lincoln Square, easily accessible to shopping and restaurants. The bathroom was small. It has a shower, no tub. Their are four elevators which helps move many tenants. We valet parked our car which was easy. There is not many places to park in the city easily. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Prime location for Lincoln Center events and great dining options. Very walkable to everything. Safe, quaint neighborhood. Empire Hotel public areas and rooftop beautiful. Very designer friendly small rooms are the perfect NY stay for a boutique property. Would definitely stay again when seeing opera etc.

The staff at this property were very rude and unwelcoming. I felt like it was a prison. They kept asking to see my room card everytime to verify that i was a guest. When i got there the room wasnt ready so i had to wait for 2 hours before my room was ready. The hotel is old inside and not modern at all. Parking is 2 blocks away and they give a discount. If u come in late u will not b anle to park in the parkong lot. U will have to park on thw road and wake up early to move your car. All in all im never staying in manhattan again. Bad experience because of the empire

This hotel showed some wear and tear in small ways in our hotel room, but everything else was great for the price. The location being right next to the Lincoln Center is perfect for attending a show or the opera. The rooftop bar was just right with its small plates and big views. There was aSarbucks right on the corner too. Central Park was just a few blocks away.

Worst hotel experience in NYC ever! Initially assigned room 109. This room is right next to a massive HVAC unit that runs 24/7. The noise in the room was unbearable. After a long conversation with the Manager and a receptionist I was assigned room 507. Though this room is 4 floors high; it was almost as noisy as #107, being situated above the HVAC unit. The size of both rooms barely allows space for a medium sized suitcase. The surliness of the staff only worsened the experience. Never again!

Staff was great. Property was conveniently located to nearby subway stations and Central Park. The room felt a bit dated. Shower head was wonky and needed some encouragement to work. Water was HOT! Beds and plows were comfy. Check in / Check out was quick and seamless. Would stay again, did not checkout the rooftop.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing was we had no view at all and because of that the room was really dark but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
