Our first trip visiting New York, to watch the US Open and staying at Double Tree by Hilton New York Midtown Fifth Ave was wonderful! The staff were always helpful and someone was always at the desk( the warm cookies were great too). Our room was so comfortable and cleaned daily. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shopping and site seeing, we always felt safe. We ( Senior couple from a small town in NC) would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, spacious room and friendly staff. Only complaint is that I was on a lower floor and the noise was enough to wake me up. It was more than just sirens and garbage trucks. Lasted about an hour at 3am. Would stay here again but ask for a higher floor.

Excellent location in midtown, nice and quiet but super close to everything. The queen room was basically a cozy little apartment- even with a small sofa and table. I loved the efficient design & lighting of the bathroom. It is so hard to find a decent hotel in NYC. You will not regret booking this one!

Pro's: Central Location, near various subway stations, walking distance to all! Hotel front desk staff friendly & very helpful. Early check-in without extra charge was possible. Timing in my case great: room vacant + available! Fast & easy check-out! Con's: Lobby is tight, only 2 elevators to be used both by guests and staff (cleaning, luggage, etc), in room 1008 the AC-unit somewhat loud. Overall: Great experience. Would definitely highly recommend this Doubletree Hilton Fifth Avenue!

Small rooms. A few Electrical outlets in the room specially those by the bed was not working, the one in the bathroom was too far away from the mirror, so basically you could not use hairdryer or electrical razors in front of the mirror. Hotel keep $200 of your money as a deposit upon checking, but when you check out, they say they won’t release till 4 weeks!!! This is unacceptable! Staff were great. Over all clean place.
