In the heart of bay ridge where I grew up. Train station is about 2 minutes away which was so convenient especially since I was travelling with two kids. The only thing I was not happy about was the fact that the hotel smelled of weed - ALOT. In and out it smelled so heavily of it. Also being told I can do a later checkout but on the day I was told I cannot. Communication needs improvement between staff and customer, other than that wouldn’t change anything.

The front desk staff were excellent. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. The bathroom needed a paint job though was nice and clean. The biggest issue is the difficulty in parking, especially that the hotel website advertises valet parking when there is none. There is some street parking and a municipal garage a short walk away.

I did not enjoy this property at all. The ceiling was paper thin and we could hear people walking above and beside us all night. In addition, our toilet was broken and unable to flush. Someone came to look at it and said, sorry, you’ll have to use the bathroom in the basement lobby. It was a terrible experience for myself and my daughter. I would never stay here or recommend it even though the front desk lady was kind and the location decent.

Good evening the stay was good, the staff was good and respectful. Only one thing i had a problem with and it was the breakfast. The breakfast can be better, there were no fruits, the eggs and sausages were cold. Thats my only issue

Overall the hotel was fine. I felt safe and all the staff was great. Not to mention, for hotels in NYC, the price was fantastic. However, there were some issues. First when we arrived, our room smelled like marijuana and I know enough to know that someone smoked a blunt/joint in my room very very recently. I was with my 4 year old son, so this was concerning. Later on, it became even more clear that someone had been smoking in the room because they put a plastic bag over the smoke detector! This was upsetting for many reasons b/c I again was with my son, this was VERY dangerous and lastly felt that the room had really not been cleaned very well. The last issue was just general upkeep of the hotel and updates, all of which the hotel needs. But overall it was fine. Breakfast was pretty good.

Get location for us. Lots of food near by very walkable. Very well kept hotel, decent breakfast. Rooms are a little small but not a problem. I would definitely recommend it

We tried to use the vault in the room but there was not any key pad to key in a security code. It was supposed to have a key but the key was missing and Best Western Hotel could not provide a key for the vault. It is unbelievable There absolutely no parking space around the hotel so they offered a valet service. We used the valet service last night. In theory we could get our car back from the valet service with a 15 minute notice. We called the receptionist to get our car today by 7:45 am but when we went to pick up the car, our car was not there as promised even though that we called 30 minutes before 7:45 am. There was only one employee at the hotel front desk who was trying to deal with 3 people checking in, she had to answer calls and she had to walk to the parking lot to pick up our car at a parking lot 5 minutes walk away. Obviously she could not abandon the front desk to go pick up our car…. because she was the only employee available at the hotel… Ridiculous service
