Always have a great stay at this property. A little older property but well maintained and recently updated. On site steakhouse is excellent. Streetcar line steps from the door making getting around very easy. We do not use much of the on site amenities but location is awesome. Many other excellent restaurants nearby or a streetcar ride away.

It had a nice hot tub and the swimming pool was heated to a nice warm temperature. Rooms had a kitchenette which we used occasionally that was well equipped with dishes and necessities.

The place was clean, but the reception was not impressive. They wanted reservation fee of USD 250 to be in my credit or debit card, which was not there. I spend an hour moving around the area sorting without being booked , despite the fact that I had cash with me. Imagine you are new in an area and asking people around for locations. Until I bought debit card from the supermarket, then I was then checked in. The transport taxis are also not readily available. You have to wait for a while to arrive.

Parking is free behind the building. But valet is required otherwise. Security is tight and nice to have. Local shops all delish. They do try to sell you on a timeshare but easy avoidable by constantly saying no.

The family met to ring in the New Year. The hotel was conveniently located to public transportation and walking to major attractions. Places to eat were plentiful as well.

This was our first and last stay at this hotel. Main problems: (1) Hotel staff woke us up on our last day 2 full hours before the 10:00 checkout time with 2 phone calls and banging on the door in an effort to push us out of the room early. Until now, I had never experienced such a thing at any hotel. (2) Bathroom is very small. (3) Valet parking was very slow at check-in and checkout.

Wyndham Lies. It's a scam.
Don't stay at this hotel unless you want a hard sell for their timeshare (although they don't call it that) business FROM THE MOMENT YOU CHECK IN . They will lie to you about the terms of the "ownership" product, schedule the presentation at an offsite location so that you can only return to hotel via their transportation, and LIE, LIE, LIE to you the entire time. Don't stay at this or ANY Wyndham hotel.

Great stay and location
They want 90 mins of your time for a “night out on them” ($100 Visa card). Parking is $45-50/night which is typical for NOLA, but there is plenty of FREE street parking right behind the hotel. Our car was there for 3 nights and no issues (damage or tickets). The room was great (fridge, small dishwasher, sink, etc.), table, couch and a few chairs, and a separate bedroom (comfy bed). We didn’t check out the courtyard, gym or pool. Great location on the St Charles street car line.

Pour stay was absolutely amazing! We had some family in the hospital, and it was perfect location. The trolly (train) was perfect for getting around to places, we will be back again to stay at this location, employees were amazing and very very accommodating.

Unbelievable and not in a good way
So it begins with us being ambushed at check in with going to a sales pitch for Club Wyndham. We didn't realize that this was not a hotel in the classic sense. We inevitably agreed. More to get away to our rooms than anything. The rooms were newly renovated, spacious and very nice and so was the staff. However, the building almost in its entirety was being renovated. Amenities weren't available. There were construction workers everywhere. I often felt uncomfortable when I was walking alone in the hall. But the worst part, we were only there for 2 nights. The 2nd evening we were out and I noticed the hotel had called me several times. When I returned the call I was told that the fire marshall had deemed the floor we were on uninhabitable, we were forced to pack up all of our belongings and move to a lower floor. We paid for suites and were moved to regular rooms without any offer of compensation. I would not return there. They were not ready for operation as the building was a construction site of renovating. Before you book there you should call to make sure that all renovations have been completed. It was a fiasco. And parking is $52 a night!

The property is closing 2/27 for renovations so much of what I say may be outdated soon. Generally, we're very pleased with the experience. The balcony overlooking St. Charles was an unexpected, pleasant surprise. The interior lighting looks/feels very institutional - they favor lighting on the blue end of the spectrum. The dish TV performed poorly and the wifi couldn't handle the load of a full hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We'd go back.

This hotel is not recommended, when I was booking it, it shows parking included. This is a trick, actually they charge valet parking $30 each day but they won't tell you before you book it. There is no room service, they won't clean your sheet, not replace the trash bag, they only provide you the trash bags and you have to replace by yourself. Everyday when you plan to pickup your car, the response is very slow, and if you have any question want to communicate with the front desk, their response is always "we don't know, you have to wait for the valet parking parking guy." even I told them my flight could be late and please do me a favor, their response is still there is nothing to do with us. So when you plan to book them, please be careful. highly not recommend.

The location was good. #1Wasn't notified about pool and hot tub out of service until the day before our arrival. The hot tub and pool was a critical reason for us staying at this location #3 our room was dirty the carpet was sticky. the place was so dusty I have pictures. Our first day No hot water I asked for extra blankets never came . We were told there was no cleaning staff had to request towels daily and Tp when needed. Oh and freezer doesn't work

Overall nice stay. Friendly staff and good location. Short streetcar ride to French Quarter, right next to garden district. Negatives are there was a sewer smell on our floor and room and the hot water ran out one day.

Well situated - on the St Charles trolley line and the E edge of the Garden District - between walkable boutiques and restaurants and the Quarter/Rue Bourbon night life. Our room was on the 3rd floor and faced the trolley line, so we had trolley noise, but it wasn't bad (more like a light bus than a freight train). The neighborhood is transitioning. Just to the N or E and you'll see run-down buildings, a lot of demo / urban renewal construction, and homeless people on the streets (~6 blocks E are mass homeless tent encampments under the MS river bridge - most visitors would NOT choose to walk through). To the S & W you're in the Garden District with posh homes and boutiques. We parked the minivan on the street rather than pay $30 per night - easy to find spaces within a block and saw no car theft / busted windows around the Wyndham. The rooms were very nice. Could use outlets near the bed for charging phones, etc... Lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. We DID get the time-share pitch on the way in (the "free gift" is a few copied pages of local recommendations) and they followed up by calling my cell phone the next day, but they DID stop when I told them No, the pitch was soft and short, and they weren't jerks about it. The pool and hot tub were under construction, so they weren't available. We had planned to hit the hot tub, but NOLA experienced freezing weather (!!) for much of our visit, so it seems doubtful we would have used either. I would stay here again.

The staff, from lobby to housekeeping, was wonderful. The outdoor areas were wonderful for sitting and reading or enjoying time with family. Even the pull out sofa bed had the most comfortable mattress.
