Our stay was the most memorable holiday. Thank you Teresa for the amazing hospitality. Anything we needed Teresa had the answer where to find it. Her smile every morning made our day. Breakfast was amazing, the room perfect! We will definitely be returning and have already made referrals. The property has lovely shops and a restaurant across the street that was incredible. Beautiful historic Villa near Herculaneum

My husband and I stayed in Ercolano at Villa Durante for 2 nights on our vacation through Italy. Therese was a wonderful hostess - so kind, gracious and thoughtful. The property is a beautifully restored 18th century villa within 10 minutes of Herculaneum. The train station is a 15-minute walk, and there are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. After visiting Naples for dinner, I was glad that we stayed outside of the city. Ercolano feels safe and the people are so welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful place. About a 10 minute walk to the Herculaneum and plenty of restaurants. Room was cool and clean. Check in was easy. Breakfast was amazing each morning. Highly recommend this hotel.

Villa Durante is a lovely old villa that’s well located for Herculaneum. The room we stayed in was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early too. As well as the rooms, there’s a lovely lounge area and breakfast was served there for us. Would definitely stay there again

The hotel is a small b&b using a few rooms from a historic villa. The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was excellent. The car park onsite is very convenient. Do not stay at a airport hotel. I highly recommend staying at this hotel for convenience to the Naples Airport and a unique experience. The hotel is also conveniently located near the herculaneum ruins.

The place was beyond amazing. The history of it, was absolutely breath taking! Couldn’t recommend this place more! It was so conveniently located around tons of things. Literally a 9 minute walk to the ruins of Herculaneum. The staff here were so accommodating and polite. 10 out of 10 would be back to stay at this villa!

Ercolano is most likely not on your Italy vacation travel as a place to stay. However, if you plan on visiting Pompei and Herculaneum I would highly recommend Villa Durante. The staff was fantastic. The corridors of the Villa make you feel like you are Italian Aristocrats from the 17th Century. The Breakfast was outstanding Ercolano is a "real" Italian city and I loved the streets with all of the balconys.

Villa Durante was like stepping back in time! The room was perfect for a family and provided space and privacy. The staff was very helpful. Beautiful breakfast was provided. I wish I realized staff was not on property though. We weren’t sure if we were there completely alone or not and when we had questions at night we didn’t know what to do. We took the “closest” train stop, but I recommend getting off at Ercolano Scavi to experience the town a bit. The other stop had us thinking we were very isolated, but really weren’t.

Lovely stay

Our stay was great. We had a lovely 2 bedroom suite for 2 adults and 2 kids. Breakfast was served every morning by the lovely Teresa who could not have done more to help us. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful old mansion converted to a BnB. Apartments are incredibly spacious with multiple rooms and decorated and furnished with old world charm. Excellent breakfast delivered on a table to the room.

Villa set close to ercolano

Relaxing stay in Villa Durante amazing room very spacious and clean. Staff we excellent very welcoming and helpful, . The Billa is not far from ercolano and close to bars and restaurants, I would highly recommend this Beautiful Villa

An absolute gem of a place

This is such a beautiful hotel/BnB. It’s pure old school magic, with really high ceilings and original fixtures - the pictures looked almost too good to be true but it’s even more special in real life. Our room (family suite) was enormous, very comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were delicious. Francesca who does the breakfasts was super lovely and great with kids, and everyone else there was really friendly and helpful too. The location is great both for exploring the ruins at Ercolano and for getting into Naples easily. Can’t recommend this place highly enough and really hope to come back again.

Wow! What a unique place or should I say palace!

Great stay, the proximity to Herculaneum is outstanding! Such a great and unique hotel! It’s like staying in a palatial estate! The breakfast spread is amazing! Francesca’s suggestions were spot on and made our experience much more enjoyable! Theresa was so sweet and welcoming! We enjoyed our time here very much!
