If you are doing Napoli, we heavily recommend by the sea. Excellsior is a very nice hotel and with some good restaurants and attractions in walking distance.

This elegant hotel is in a great location. Lots of restaurants and easy walking to sights in Naples. I love the rooftop bar! Definitely a good choice and I would love to return.

Location was great and rooms were big. The floor looked like it had a leak from bathroom. My room was not showing in the booking system of the hotel. Some of the was not friendly and was stingy about water bottles which are included in the price. Room service is expensive and did not have a lot of options.

Great Hotel
I have only great things to stay about Eurostars Hotel Excelsior. It is located in perhaps the prettiest location in all of Napoli near the Partnenope overlooking the bay and when the skies are clear one can see Mount Vesuvius. The rooms are classic in their look. The restaurant on the ground floor had an excellent breakfast menu being offered as I had ordered a la carte. It was one of the best breakfasts that I had had in Italy. I went up to the Sky Terrace restaurant but did not have a meal because the restaurant had not opened. The view is spectacular and I have promised myself to a treat there the next time I am in Napoli. A presto.

This is the most elegant hotel I have ever stayed in. The building itself and the rooms are stunning. The staff were attentive gracious and helpful.. From the hotel we were able to walk around the city. Our room looked out on the Bay of Naples. The area felt very safe. I hoe to stay there again someday.

The hotel is beautiful in a wonderful location in Naples. We enjoyed the rooftop lounge and morning breakfast. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful throughout the hotel. We had some difficulty with our shower and were moved to a bigger room immediately. It was very quiet and comfortable after long days of touring.

Beautiful hotel and excellent location. Definitely the nicest hotel in Napoli. Classic old world charm, huge beautiful rooms. Definitely worth paying extra for the water view with a balcony.

Nice enough for a short stay, great location
Hotel itself great location, however can be noisy at night due to nearby outside entertainment. Hotel clean and the room was fine. However, with regards to staff, we found that the doorman and reception staff were not friendly towards us, they would greet other guests as they arrived or left but not us. We could only deduce from this snub that it was as a result of our heritage rather than anything else as we were polite and respectful throughout, not great to not feel welcome!

The hotel is located in a good location, especially if you're using Naples as a stopover to Capri or the Amalfi coast. Other than that, the property and rooms are outdated. While clean, it leaves a lot to be desired. The issue for us was the tub/shower. The shower head had such weak water flow, that you had to stand over the drain to get wet. They did offer a handheld but the flow on that was good, but it flooded the tub so you're standing in soapy water. The rooftop terrace was nice with beautiful views, and we were thrilled that allowed to go off-menu for dinner.

A grand Naples hotel with great location, lovely terrace restaurant, top service and fantastic sea views. Facilities were quite limited and public areas restricted when we stayed. Top tip is always book a sea view. Great restaurants and bars adjacent.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the main streets for shopping, dining and attractions. Also close to the BEVERELLO port, which is ideal if you want to go to Capri. The staff is very nice and helpful. On the downside, the hotel is VERY very old. Very little in the hotel works. Depending on the room you get, the wifi can be anything from poor to not working, which is a major issue nowadays. The breakfast costs 30 EUR, which makes no sense, as you can have one of the best breakfast of your life at dozens cafes nearby for 7 EUR. The rooftop has a nice view but 0 atmosphere even on Fri or Sat evening - it is completely empty. Despite claiming otherwise from hotel employees, it appears the hotel has a very low occupancy and appeared empty nearly all of the time. The old age of the hotel is visible everywhere - chipped furniture, blankets with holes or spots on it and and the cleaners' poor attention, as we found hair, somebody's used contact lenses etc in a supposedly clean room..

Beautiful, classic hotel right in front of the coast. An amazing view from the rooftop. Out experience was ruined from our first night when we left our car their valet service. When it was returned the next day, the passenger seat was completely flat as someone had used it throughout the night. A bag of chips and cookies we left in the car were opened and eaten. Finally, we had left around €5 in coins in the center console for the tolls we had to paid only to find about €0.40 left. Do not use their valet!!! We didn’t report this because it was our first night and didn’t want any retaliation against the car. Also, every morning, we were woken up buy the maids continuous banging of doors going in and out of the neighbors doors while cleaning the rooms. Overall nice hotel, but poor experience.

Great location !! The hotel was founded in 1908 so be aware that this is not a modern stay . Very poor wifi throughout . The rooms are dark but clean . Our family enjoyed the breakfast buffet daily and the views were beautiful!

I was very disappointed by this hotel after doing a ton of research. They are terribly busy understaffed and the property is very dated and at times dirty. The location was the best part of the stay. They did not even have duvet covers available and instead offered a musty blanket.

This is a beautiful hotel which is located right by the marina. It is far away from city crowd but also very close to the shopping areas. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
