I didn’t realize how far away this hotel was from bus stops or train stations when booking and found myself kind of stranded (I tried to walk to the bus stop 20minutes away and the streets immediately around the hotel are not designed for pedestrians). "The location to Fuji Q Highland is perfect. It is a 5 minute walk to an entrance exclusive to hotel guest. Early entrance to park is another perk. Hotel is beautiful and clean. Very spacious rooms. Lots of amenities. Breakfast buffet was included with our stay. Buffet was very good. Staff was very friendly and spoke English well. When we were out exploring and couldn’t get an uber to pick us up, we called the hotel and they sent a taxi to come pick us up. Just exceptional service!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hoshinoya Fuji. From start to finish the experience was amazing, with incredible staff and amenities. Our taxi dropped us to the main reception area where we checked in, selected backpacks for our stay (containing useful gear for hiking and being in the outdoors!) and then were driven up to our room. You can call anytime for a car to take you from the main property back down to the reception area (or vice versa) so whether you wanted to be fully immersed or able to explore the area, you could. The room itself was spacious, light and clean with a gorgeous huge window to hopefully view Fuji, as well as a balcony with table, fire and sofa. The hotel has many options for activities and food, over our stay we enjoyed the music and bonfire session, canoeing on the lake, breakfast on our balcony (which was a particular standout!) and dinner at the restaurant. Every experience was incredible, and we really felt so immersed in the outdoors. Our stay was two nights and we opted to go out and explore around the area as well as enjoy the hotel amenities, but I feel you could easily spend three or four days purely on the hotel grounds and enjoying all they have to offer. We were lucky enough to get two clear days of visibility of Fuji which made the stay even more perfect, but we would’ve still loved our stay based on the property alone. We would encourage anyone to stay here if your itinerary allows!"
