"My stay was excellent at Palacio. The service there was outstanding. Having a butler help with reservations and bookings was extremely helpful. I would recommend staying here. It’s very walkable to common sights nearby. The cemetery was just a few blocks away. Breakfast was great, and the room size and amenities were top notch. I didn’t realize it at the time early on but a 10% tip is customary. Don’t second guess booking this former palace (yes, it was formerly someone’s home). Tons of history here. "

The common areas are really palatial with crystal chandeliers, beautiful marble, large windows, gold leafing, ample corridors and very high ceilings."

"Nice hotel in good location. Room very large and clean and quiet. Only issue has nothing to do with hotel -- big garbage can in front and the local slobs just throw garbage in front of it in the street. The whole city seems to have this problem. "
