Top Murrieta Hotel Reviews

La Casa del Camino
6/10 Okay
"Our room did not have a bathroom door on it! Not sure why, but there is plenty of space to put a barn door/sliding door on for some privacy. Also had a mobile/portable A/C on wheels which took up needed floor space in an already small room, and it was loud. Not sure why they don't invest in those sleek, slim, wall-mounted A/C units with remote controls. Would get that big clunky unit off the floor. None of the windows opened - bathroom window nailed shut. Had to have someone from the front desk show us how to use the TV - there were no instructions in the room. They need a few more larger menu options at the Roof Top Lounge, and the coconut shrimp was like the frozen ones you buy at Costco, didn't seem homemade. Staff was friendly and attentive."

Hampton Inn & Suites Murrieta Temecula
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was top notch. Comfortable b de and clean room. Would definitely stay here again!"

Beachfront Inn and Suites at Dana Point
6/10 Okay
"Walls are too thin. You were able to hear the other room. Clearly heard everything if you know what I mean. But besides that it was not bad. "

Surf & Sand Laguna Beach
8/10 Good
"We had a mixed experience for this being a 5 star property, and all just solely based on opinions. 1. First and foremost, the staff at every encounter were amazing (valet, front desk, restaurants, pool, boutique store). We were treated kindly and with utmost respect no matter who we encountered. 2. The ocean view room was amazing! The ocean truly came right up to the hotel and we could hear the waves while we slept.amazing and makes it all worth it! 3.The breakfast (and, again, staff) were amazing at the onsite restaurant. What was unfortunate, was if you made reservations, you would still wait behind others to be seated, and it would take a while to be greeted by your server. Sometimes over 15 min. 4.The daily room housekeeping and nightly turn down service was hit or miss. I would schedule it on their app. Or request via their dedicated text & only once happened without me having to ask several times. I’m a stickler for housekeeping each day. I want a clean room, with fresh amenities and don’t want to ask over and over and over. We only got the nightly turn down (part of fee paid to resort) once during our 4 night stay. we’d have to text in the morning for fresh towels, coffee etc. 5. The pools was pure chaos. This was due to inconsiderate guests and staff that didn’t enforce rules more. Chairs left unoccupied for hours while folks were down at the beach. Kids rinsng of sand in the hot tub, leaving it mucky. Kids running everywhere, eating in the pool, surfing in pool. "

Dana Point Marina Inn
4/10 Poor
"Hotel is shabby depressing and hasn’t been updated or maintained in years. Mattresses are shot. Tub doesn’t drain no water pressure luke warm water. Mold in various places in the hotel. Outside property is full of trash cigarette butts and dog poop. It’s a mess. Hotel is on the verge of the wrecking ball due to harbour renovation. They don’t care anymore. Sad. Probably a great place in its day "

Pala Casino Spa And Resort
10/10 Excellent
"All is ok"

Casa Loma Beach Hotel (formerly The Inn at Laguna Beach)
2/10 Terrible
"Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet expectations.
No one offered to help with our bags on arrival, and it felt more like a hostel than a luxury stay. There was no explanation about where the elevator was, how to get around the hotel, or anything about amenities. The feeling persisted anytime we were in the lobby: just really bad & unfriendly hospitality.
Our first room that faced the street was extremely noisy (traffic, sirens), and the AC sounded like a plane taking off. We called front desk to ask to be switched to another room and they advised us that all rooms have the same AC system with the same loud noise. When they switched us to a second room, it smelled like sewage — like a dirty toilet — and we were advised that construction would be taking place throughout our stay.
To top it off, we were hit with an unexpected $346 in parking and “amenity” fees at checkout - none of which were explained, and we were never shown what amenities were included. These fees feel like a cash grab and did not feel fair.
Between the noise, awful smell, lack of service, construction, and surprise charges, this stay was not worth it. Save your money and book somewhere like Le Petit Pali or The Ranch Laguna instead."

Laguna Hills Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Beatuful courtyard and great location "

Sonesta Select Laguna Hills Irvine Spectrum
2/10 Terrible
"There are drains on the floor of the bathroom! No tub, dirty, rust everywhere. Plus the carpet on the way to the room had streaks of garbage being dragged through it. They also charge for parking even when it says parking in the description. Staff was just there and rendered no help. "
