We originally booked a budget room for two (on the 4th floor), but when we arrived, a standard double room (on 2nd floor) was available and we received a free upgrade!
As you would expect with guest houses, the bathroom is shared with other guest, but we found that no problem. The bathroom was spacious, clean and airy with plenty of hot water and clean hand towels. There was also a communal area with kettle, fridge and microwave, all clean and modern.
The guest house itself is an old Munich town house with original staircase and wooden floors. It is situated in a lovely part of Munich called the Westend, with plenty of nice restaurants and bars with a modern feel and only 10 minutes away from the city centre by tube/underground.
Staff spoke German and English and were friendly and approachable. We also received a voucher code for the free Wi-Fi which worked fine from our room.
The room was cleaned daily and we had fresh sheets and towels every day. The sink was big enough for two people to use comfortably and the furniture and bed were new, clean and stylish. We didn't use the TV, but it looked new and in working order.
Only thing I would note is that there is no lift, so be prepared to carry your bags/suitcases up to your room. Also, as it is an old town house (though renovated!), there was no air-conditioning or ceiling fan in the room, so we had to have our window open as the weather was hot. Noise from the street below wasn't a problem for us, so we had no issues.
