No luggage storage serice no matter what
Clean room and great location. We arrived early in the morning around 9:30 am and there was a lady in the office who claimed she doesn't work here but just came in office to get some stuff done and will leave soon. It was a raining day and she insisted the policy of no luggage storage even we were going to check in on the same day. She suggested to leave them at the connodor area which can be accessed by everyone, or go back to central station and use luggage storage service there. Understood rule is rule but since there was someone in the office on a raining day, why not helping their guests out?

Thank you for the great feedback. We kindly ask guests not to come before 13:00. We do not take suitcases in the morning but we send out confirmation emails on the booking date with places to store luggage. Our office is an shared office and staff from Personal Training or Cleaning is not allowed to let strangers enter the office rooms outside Check-In times for security reasons. If you decide to come before 13:00, even knowing that we are not open and we do not take suitcases, then it is your problem. Having this said: Do not come here in the morning please respect us.

Great place for the money
Great place for the money. No lift, only stairs, which is a bummer when we were on the top floor. Unusually warm when we were there and there is no air conditioning. We loved the neighborhood it was in, and close to the metro.

Thanks Kristen. We advice all guests that book budget rooms to modify their reservation to standard rooms if they are travelling with heavy luggage. Guests may ask for ventilators during our office times because air conditioning is not common and also not provided.

Good place to stay in the Westend of Munich
This place was perfect for what I needed. The room was a good size for a single room. It was clean, warm and quiet. I would stay here again.

Nice place to stay in Munich
The pension was closed enough for short biking to main tourist centre. The bedroom was big and comfortable, but the bed was too soft to sleep. The rest, all good.

Clean, safe and easy access to subway
I was a single female traveler visiting Munich for 4 days. This was a Great hotel, easy to get to ...it was a 2 min walk to the metro station with a lot of restaurants and bars all around. Never felt unsafe at night. Great neighborhood . Check in and check out was easy, the hotel was clean Great stay, would recommend to anyone! Close to October fest Thanks!

GOOD: 1) Very clean. 2) Room was spacious. 3) WiFi was easy to access & strong (though occasionally flickered). 4) Coffee/tea station on the hallway. BAD: 1) Check-out is too early (10AM). 2) Check-in is late (1PM). 3) No staff in evening, and sparse staff otherwise. 4) They will not hold luggage.

Thanks. Staff is available 10:00 - 19:00 Monday to Saturday, 24/7 by Phone and E-Mail. This is not a Hotel,please don't expect to get the same service. If guests prefer to check out later, then we can no longer allow check-in from 13:00. Either way, we can't do it right I guess.

Very friendly and helpful staff (the receptionist was great!) Small room & bed but very clean with mordern-ish and nice furniture Toilets & bathroom super clean - cleaned everyday Very good location with metro just 5 min walk The street where the pension is has quite a few nice places to eat/drink Quiet and nice street The only 'negative' point is that isolation between rooms is not fantastic so if you don't have discreet neighbors, that can be a problem... Otherwise, I would definitely book this pension again!

Great spot if you're in Munich for several days
The Pension Belo Sono is not a "hotel" as much as it is a short-term apartment, with complete kitchen, from which one could thoroughly explore Munich. Their communications to me made this point quite clear, not a hotel - but a great house-keeping space (perhaps more like an air b&b). It's in a wonderfully interesting neighborhood and very close to public transit. I had minimal contact with "staff" but that person was multi-lingual, friendly and very helpful.

As expected and in a nice location
I know that some reviewers expressed angst about there being no A.C., but we found that to be pretty standard in Germany so we just cracked the windows at night. The neighborhood is quiet enough to leave them open (even on weekends!) and it worked fine. As for the stairs... well yeah. There is no elevator. But we packed reasonably and are able bodied so it was no issue. We found the rooms excellently appointed, clean, and spacious (though we booked a double). They are clearly recently remodeled and we were very comfortable. Downstairs is a great cafe and there are lots of eateries in walking distance. The subway line is super close which is awesome. There is parking on the street (€6 IN COINS for 24 hours) and the front desk gives info on other free parking/cheap parking further away. Our only complaint... the beds are so firm!!!! They are the hardest beds we slept on during our lengthy Germany trip. That was a bummer, but if you walk all over Munich you will be too tired to care ☺

It is very difficult for us to act in this case. Please let us know about this while you are here and we can maybe switch matresses from one room to another!?

Convenient and clean guesthouse
This is the second time I've stayed at Pension Belo Sono. I was happy to be able to return at the end of a business trip to Munich last week. The guesthouse is exceptionally clean and quiet, and it is close to the U-bahn, a supermarket, and places to eat, whilst still being in a quiet, calm neighbourhood. And the best part is the extraordinarily soft, comfortable bed. Thank you!

The room was very comfortable, but there is no elevator and I was on the 2nd floor which in Europe is the 3rd. Taking suitcases up and down was a chore. Quiet neighborhood and only 2 blocks to U-Bahn. Comfortable bed. Shared bathroom extremely small, but a great shower. This place would be even better if run more like a hotel. For one or two nights OK.

Eight out of ten!
I really enjoyed the Pension Belo Sono. The room was very nice, good bed, nice and clean, bathroom was small but clean. Nice amenities in the shared hall (fridge, toaster, kettle, some dishes ...). If I had to nitpick, the hot water ran out at the end of my fairly quick shower (women will likely freeze), and there was no outlet near the desk for a computer in my room (so I ran on battery and charged overnight by an outlet). Otherwise, the neighbourhood is great, the price is right, it's close to the subway, so I was very pleased. Also, the staff were very helpful via correspondence by email.

Lovely guesthouse - would recommend
Lovely budget guesthouse. Very clean, helpful staff, good location. Even the shard bathroom was not a problem - we never saw anyone else so it was like having a private one. And it was always very clean. Would stay here again. (Only downside is no elevator so it's a long climb up the stairs to the budget rooms)

Lovely guest house in central location
We originally booked a budget room for two (on the 4th floor), but when we arrived, a standard double room (on 2nd floor) was available and we received a free upgrade! As you would expect with guest houses, the bathroom is shared with other guest, but we found that no problem. The bathroom was spacious, clean and airy with plenty of hot water and clean hand towels. There was also a communal area with kettle, fridge and microwave, all clean and modern. The guest house itself is an old Munich town house with original staircase and wooden floors. It is situated in a lovely part of Munich called the Westend, with plenty of nice restaurants and bars with a modern feel and only 10 minutes away from the city centre by tube/underground. Staff spoke German and English and were friendly and approachable. We also received a voucher code for the free Wi-Fi which worked fine from our room. The room was cleaned daily and we had fresh sheets and towels every day. The sink was big enough for two people to use comfortably and the furniture and bed were new, clean and stylish. We didn't use the TV, but it looked new and in working order. Only thing I would note is that there is no lift, so be prepared to carry your bags/suitcases up to your room. Also, as it is an old town house (though renovated!), there was no air-conditioning or ceiling fan in the room, so we had to have our window open as the weather was hot. Noise from the street below wasn't a problem for us, so we had no issues.

Travelling during the summer can be really hot. We were on the 4th floor and had no mini fan. It was hard to cool down. It's a long way up since there are no elevators. Especially when you've been out all day and night.

Pros: Nice little hotel. It's very close to the Octoberfest grounds, and a Metro stop so you can get to anywhere in the city quickly. The lady who checked us in was very pleasent. Neutral: You have to share a bathroom with a few other rooms. This was our first time staying somewhere like this. We had no problems with it, we barely saw the other people staying in the other rooms and the bathroom was always clean. We would consider a shared bathroom again after this stay. Cons: There's really only one downside here. The check in time is limited to the afternoon unless you make special arrangements. I'm not taking any rating away for this, it's just something to be aware of. Other thoughts: We were on the 5th floor (4th to you europeans), that was a lot of stairs at the end of a long day of walking and beer.

Good Budget Stay, Close to the Centre of Munich. Although the Receptions doesn't operate 24/7, (not expected as its not a hotel), they are available on mail/handy. Facilities are good, refrigerator/dishes provided. Toilets were clean. Only the double beds were not joined completely. And there was no way we could join it. Overall an excellent stay for 3 nights!

Comfortable accommodation on a budget
We stayed five nights at Pension Belo Sono. The room that we had was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The shared shower, however, was not the nicest - a small dark room with a mouldy ceiling that five rooms had to share. The most unpleasant part of our stay was the very rude receptionist who for some unknown reason, made a number of snarky comments when we checked in. The location is very handy and there were a number of nice looking restaurants very close by.

Comfy and simple pension in wonderful neighbourhoo
The pension was steps away from the local U-Bahn station and well-located in a wonderful neighbourhood with lots of nice shops and cafes, and nearby a laundromat. Service was good but our room wasn't serviced one day for whatever reason. Apart from that, it was quiet and enjoyable and it wasn't a big deal having to share a bathroom. It was super hot so a fan would have been very useful. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Munich - the highlight of our trip so far.

We got to Pension Belo Sono and couldn't get in the locked front door. We buzzed, knocked, and waited for ten minutes without luck. As international travelers without a phone, we had to search the neighborhood for a working pay phone to call. The woman had a hard time with English and insisted the door was unlocked. When we walked back the door was finally unlocked. However, we had the same problem that night - our room key didn't open the locked outside door. When we got there, there was a slightly panicked girl trying to do a late check-in with no clue what to do. We pounded on the door until another guest heard us and let us in. The room was nice, very neat and comfortable. There is no lift to the fourth floor. Also, Hotels.com said we were fully paid and owed nothing upon arrival but the receptionist insisted otherwise. Waiting to see if we've been double charged.

Thank you for that information, we have checked the front door accordingly but didn't find a problem. It works just fine. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and don't know what happened. The budget rooms on 4th floor (no lift) are cheaper than the standard rooms for that reason. We explain that to every guest prior to arrival to give you the chance to amend your reservation on time. Correct, you gave the booking agent your credit card details to guarantee your reservation until arrival and were only charged at check-in because it was a last minute booking. So, you were only charged once. with kind regards

Great budget hotel!
We arrived to the hotel around midnight due to delays but we're able to get our key and services right away thanks to the staff's help ahead of time. Great location within walking distance to both the train station (15 min) and U-bahn (5 minutes). Near a grocery store we used for breakfast everyday and multiple restaurants. Safe and quiet neighborhood. The shared bathroom was never a problem. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a safe and clean place to rest at night! Would stay here again!

You will get exactly what you agreed on!
For a very short stay, a room without bathroom is not a big issue, but if you are about to spend there week or more so it may be a bit problematic (your decision). Room was clean, with super comfortable bed. I spent there one night, was quite cold outside but heating works perfect. Remember there is no lift, and you may get a room on 4th floor - nice exercise :-) Pros: price, comfortable bed, nice localisation, very kind staff. Cons: no bathroom, no lift (but they clearly inform about that).

Hello :) thanks for taking the time to write a review about your stay at Belo Sono. Only the budget/basic rooms are on 4th floor. The rooms on 4th floor are perfect for guests who need some exercise after having too much Schnitzel and Beer for dinner ;-)

nice apartment, helpful staff
The apartment is very clean and nice. even though with bathroom shared, the room we stayed has balcony and we love it. location is great, the community around is great.

Not bad, good value hotel
The room was fine, but it was on the 4th floor and theres no lift. Not to far from town, 15 minute walk or 2 stops on the U-Bahn. A few things in the local area. I would stay here again
