Really comfortable hotel. Lovely large rooms with everything you could possible need. Great facilities - particularly pool and gym. Breakfast buffet is also excellent. Staff bend over backwards to help and give you the best possible stay. Thoroughly recommend.

This is a really fantastic luxury hotel. The hotel itself has amazing facilities including a spa and gym, restaurant, cafe/bar and a second bar on the ground floor. We felt so well looked after the whole time by all of the lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble, including getting us milk for our 2 year old daughter at 5am in the morning! The local area is also fantastic and a bonus for us was they had a street party/festival on the weekend we were there, which was very family friendly. We hope to come back and stay again to see more of Munich, as we spent a lot of time enjoying the hotel and it’s facilities.

5 star hotel but not 5 star service
We booked 2 rooms for our parents who were visiting Munich for the week. The hotel rooms and facilities were 5 star quality. We appreciated the designs, the spaciousness and how quiet it was. Unfortunately, we didn’t find that the service matched up to the same high standards. When checking in, they couldn’t find our reservation and once they had, we couldn’t go into the room because all the guests hadn’t arrived yet and were required to sign some paperwork. We also had prepaid for breakfast but when our parents went to eat during their first morning, they were told that it was not included and provided additional confusion. Sometimes it’s the little things that just accumulate, especially when trying to ensure your guests have a pleasant stay.

The hotel rooms and facilities are amazing. Truly meeting the criteria of a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately, I don’t feel like the service followed through with the same standards. When checking in, they couldn’t find our booking, we couldn’t check in until all guests arrived to sign the paperwork, they were going to charge us for breakfast (40€/guest) even though we told them that we had already paid for it in our reservation, etc. Keep in mind that each of these incidents took a lot of time and it was a very unpleasant encounter, which was our first and last impression

Contemporary luxury at bargain price
This is not your traditional luxury hotel. You get contemporary design and spacious space for a very competitive price as compare to other luxury hotel location in Munich. The mountain view is fantastic and definitely a must.

We stayed at the Andaz for two nights and found our stay to be a delightful experience. All staff members we interacted with were forthcoming, concerned with our satisfaction, friendly, and helpful. One of the waitresses in the lounge bar on the day of our arrival, Lilian, is especially noteworthy. She talked to us while we were waiting for our room to be readied (we arrived very early) and listened to what we would enjoy for drinks, coming up with perfect and very individual suggestions, including a mixed drink created on the fly with input from my wife. The next day, she approached us during breakfast and gave my wife a small book about mixed drinks, following our conversation on the subject. This is truly going above and beyond the expected level of service. The same is true by the way for the wonderful young lady who checked us in and was apologetic for our room not being ready yet, despite the fact that we had arrived very early and fully expected a possible delay. As we settled down in the lounge bar to wait for our room, our order there was “on the house.” There were a few other positive examples, but it would simply be too many to list in a short web review. How is that for a compliment? Thank you to the staff of Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor for a memorable, pleasant, and truly enjoyable first class experience.

Would love to stay again!
Fantastic!! Our flight was cancelled due to storms and we had decided to check out of a hotel near the airport due to limited resource and poor service, and we were delighted that we had! Andaz is a beautiful hotel, great modern design, the service, food, and facilities were all amazing! The bedroom is the best room I have ever had, the shower design, ease of curtains, PIR sensor floor lighting etc - all very nice touches! We even tried to buy some of the shampoo, conditioner, and soap but realised this is an exclusive to the hotel unfortunately.

Property was good. However, we couldn't use the Spa, which was one of the key reasons for us to chose that property. It closed at 6pm, as opposed to the 10pm shown on the website. Staff didn't tell us, despite us asking. Additionally, we couldn't use the hotel bar, because of NYE celebrations, which weren't communicated. That part of the experience was really disappointing.

Brand new property- sparkling clean and located in Schwabing, a quiet area of Munich. Easy access to the public transit line, drug store, and Lidl grocery store. Great staff was able to help me get my luggage opened after the airlines mangled the zipper and lock. Room layout was creative, and it worked. It was nice to have the automatic blinds and blackout curtains, and also the option to open or close the blinds in the bathroom. I appreciated the complimentary mineral waters and snacks as well as the environmental conservation efforts with the recycling bins in the room and avoidance of single-use shampoo/conditioner/lotion bottles.
