"So nice and cozy, a gem. I had no idea how nice my room would be. Breakfast could be better if it had fresh scrambled eggs and potatoes and or more healthy options. The beautiful cozy lobby with 24 hour coffee and tea and iced tea was delightful. They really need to remove the alarm clocks from the room (ours went off at 6am) and they should get tvs that let you stream from your streaming services."

"Staff was friendly and very helpfuf. Room was clean and well stocked. However, the bathroom door was warped and hinges were rusty. It would not close properly. The wall paper was peeling in several areas. The view of the lake was obscured by the parking lot for the ferry. Did like that the ferry was in walking distance of our room."

"The Beachcomber in Mackinaw City was the highlight of our trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We were greeted by the manager Laurie (I believe) promptly on arrival, with a friendly smile and an even friendlier disposition. When asked for restaurant recommendations, Laurie(?) gave my wife and I several recommendations that eventually pleased both of our cuisine desires, and her recommendations were not wrong. We were also given recommendations and instructions on how to maneuver around the city in preparation for our trip to Mackinac Island on the following day. This included getting us setup with our shuttle to and from the ferry, as well as places to visit while on the island. If it wasn’t for her genuine passion with caring about visitors, it may not of have gone as well as it did. If I could give a 5 star rating for her alone, I would. With our room being on the ground level and on the beachfront, I would’ve expected some sand on the room floor. Not a single grain could be found. That’s a level of cleanliness I’ve only seen in 5 star resorts on the Gulf. The beds were comfortable, our view of Lake Huron was breathtaking, and the nightly community bonfire was hospitable and friendly. If you’re looking for a fabulous, clean, pleasant, and comforting respite before heading to Mackinac Island, I can’t recommend Beachcomber Mackinaw City enough."
