"It's a great hotel, but it's disappointing to find out that half the place is under construction and most amenities are not available. Wish that had been shared prior to the reservation and they should not be charging a daily resort fee either. "

"Holiday Inn Express is in a good location in Mount Pleasant. This was our third time staying. The positives were it was near my doctor’s office, nice sized and clean rooms, could not hear any noise at night, the lady overseeing breakfast with a variety of foods offered and you can walk to the restaurant Sol. There were only two issues we noticed - the hallway carpet had crumbs in one place when we arrived and they were still there two days later. Our room air conditioning had an odor (mold or something in the air) blowing out we did not have on our previous visit a couple of years ago. It is a relatively new hotel so not sure if others had the same issue or it was just our room on the second floor."

"Not exactly the arrival experience we expected. We were charged an additional $19 amenity fee at check in that had already been paid through the app and had to go back and forth before it was finally refunded. The first room smelled so bad we couldn’t even stay in it. Staff did switch us quickly, which we appreciated, but the second room still didn’t feel very clean. The bedding and pillows were pretty subpar, and the sheets were rough and itchy enough to make sleeping uncomfortable. Definitely not the level of comfort or cleanliness we were hoping for."
