"Our stay at Headwaters Eco Lodge was truly one of the most special experiences of our trip. From the wonderful staff to the incredible care and thought put into every detail of the design, everything felt so intentional, beautifully done, and well cared for. Their genuine commitment to the environment and what they're creating is inspiring, and it's even more impressive to see it executed with such quality and attention to detail.
From morning yoga and evening campfires to the thoughtful touches like complimentary tea and in-room snacks, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home.
And Chef DJ was truly the cherry on top! Not only is he an incredibly warm and welcoming host, but we were blown away by every meal he prepared. We actually dined at two Michelin-starred restaurants during this trip, and his food ended up being our favorite of all!
Such a beautiful place with even more beautiful people behind it. We can't recommend Headwaters enough!"
"If you're looking for a budget-friendly place to stay in Wanaka, this is a great option. The caravan was cozy, warm and comfortable, and the shower block was clean and tidy. Convenient location close to town and an easy drive to Cardrona. Not luxury accommodation, but excellent value for money and exceeded our expectations for a caravan stay."
"Absolutely loved our stay at EcoScapes. The staff were welcoming and friendly, food in the cafe was delicious and the surroundings are stunning. Highly recommend!"
"The property is brand new and well maintained, with a little of smell of fresh house. The view is truly impressive— we were even able to see a rainbow from the window, which was a lovely surprise.
However, the Wi-Fi connection was quite slow during our stay, which may be inconvenient for guests who need stable internet access. In addition, I would strongly recommend booking dinner in advance or bringing sufficient food supplies. When we arrived at 1:30, the restaurant was already fully booked, and we were only able to have some snacks instead of a proper meal. Unfortunately, the children had to wait until the next morning to have a full breakfast.
Overall, it is a beautiful place with great scenery, but guests should plan ahead regarding meals and internet needs.
