"Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay."

We were in one of the cheapest rooms, 103, bit of a rabbit warren to find it but surprisingly quiet for opposite the town centre McDonald's on a Saturday night. Freshly decorated. "Standards seems to have gone down, quite a lot of dust around. The lift still being out of commission is a problem and doesn't seem to have been mentioned on the description. I believe this is a long term problem as the staff indicated that "spare parts" were no longer available. Very young staff and hit and miss service. Good position though."
