"Absolutely loved the courtyard right outside of our room. The café was also a delight. The hotel and café staff were pleasant and courteous. The beds and pillows were just the right amount of firmness. Best nights sleep ever! I was sceptical about no air conditioning, however just having a fan combined with the cool nights, made it absolutely perfect! CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐"

Orchid House San Miguel de Allende

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed at Orchard House for 3 nights in June 2026. Roberto, Juan and Carlo were welcoming and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed, without being intrusive. The property is beautiful and well kept with an inner courtyard, old trees, a fountain and outdoor tables. We stayed in a master king suite which opened onto the courtyard. The suite had everything we needed, including a small fridge. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the large fluffy bath towels and robes in the bathroom. The suite has an air conditioning unit as well as an overhead fan; the fan was all we needed during our stay. We opted for the continental breakfast which was sufficient for us, with tea or coffee ,a fresh fruit plate, granola and yogurt and a slice of homemade banana bread. There is a choice of full breakfast items if you prefer to pay for that. Orchid House is in a quiet location just two easy blocks from the historic center. We highly recommend a stay in Orchid House and it is definitely our choice if we return to San Miguel de Allende."

"Property is absolutely beautiful and mostly very well maintained. We did have 2 issues 1) the a/c unit had an issue that was extremely annoying, it would make a loud, awful buzzing sound every 2 minutes or so. Extremely hard to sleep. We would have opened the windows, as it was relatively cool out, but the room was right on the street and noisy, plus the street was extremely well lit, so not a better option. Terrible trying to sleep in that room. 2) the roof top terrace was beautiful, but the string lights didn't work, so too dark. Plus the furniture, which was very nice, was somewhat messy due to recent storm. Understandable, but staff had plenty of time to put it back in properly. In the end, I would stay there again but only if I could test the a/c."
