We were there for the marathon and they allowed us to leave our luggage and then let us return later for a shower.

"The hotel is in a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were staying in the heatwave and there was no aircon and the windows only opened a limited amount so it was too hot to sleep normally. Wasn’t helped by someone turning on the heated towel rail when we reported the bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working. I would potentially stay again but not in hot weather"

"Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered.
Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"Very nice hotel, a lot more "upmarket" than your traditional seaside hotel. The bed was comfy, air con (not usually needed in the UK but it was 27+degrees the few days we stayed), decent toiletries, great selection of tea and coffee in the room. The type of room we booked included robes and slippers. It's a quite far from the pier if that's the vibe you're looking for. There's plenty of restaurants and a few bars around but it was overall a very quiet area overlooking the marina. The car park...

"We had a lovely weekend at Arden House. Lucie organised everything with so much attention to detail and care that being there felt like a cosy home. We even received a welcome card and chocolate Easter eggs every time the room was cleaned.
The location was also great, just a five-minute walk from the castle. The rooms were spotlessly clean.
I would highly recommend staying there!"

But many hairs in the bedding inbetween mattress protector or bottom sheet. Attention to detail would be worthwhile and signs on other guests doors to ask them to be mind full not letting doors slam in the morning would be helpful."

"Huge room and breakfast was amazing, truely four star. Walking distance to the Barbican area. Our only issue was we were on the top floor and there was no lift. 50 steps from the back car park. I am sure they would put a lift in if the building was not heritage listed. If you have mobility problems make sure to ask for a room close to the ground. Overall very impressive and good value for money all fittings and fixtures were high quality."
