"My wife and I both agreed that the overnight stay we had there was very good, everything you could have wanted was there, the bed was lovely and the room was spot on. The next morning we went down to the restuarant and to an excellent breakfast. All in all we would have no hesitation in staying there again."

Staff were nice tbf, room was £130 + £15 for our dog well over priced for location and quality, no discount for eating in restaurant prices compared to hotel in major city centres, I travel a lot for work and know! Only continental breakfast included absolute joke. Dinner in restaurant again poor Pad Thai must have been left on pass chicken and prawns dry sauce way to thick again dried out. Then told while relaxing with friends hadn’t seen for 5 years to leave at...

"A lovely, peaceful stay with gracious and friendly hosts who were always happy to help out if needed. Nice clean linen and towels and a nice modern bathroom. Breakfast was delicious each morning. "

"The best part was the breakfast, very good and very polite individual. The room was cold, no hot water to shower, no one around to solve the issue. All in house amenities not in use. No bar. No service, no contact. It's 2 miles from town, so taxi us essential. It's the sort of place that picture perfect... But you'll only go once. "Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. "A historic building just off the square, this beautiful B & B never fails. The owner, Ruth, goes out of her way to make sure that you have a comfortable stay, bathed in luxury and quality. places like this are few and far between these days. Superb!"
