"Wunderschönes Hotel im alten Kohlebergwerk. Etwas abgeschieden, dafür aber die totale Ruhe. Wir haben super geschlafen! Das Abendessen kann man im Freien geniessen, gute Auswahl und lecker gekocht. Unbedingt jeweils am Morgen reservieren! Einziger Negativpunkt: Das Personal ist beim Frühstück überfordert, da man als Gast nichts selber schöpfen darf. So entstehen Wartezeiten. "

"The property itself was an absolute delight, a charming location perched on the hillside with incredible morning views down over the valley. The host was extremely helpful and walked us through all the amenities, suggested where we could eat out, and went above and beyond in providing complimentary locally made welcome cookies and other snacks."

"Ther room was big for european standards, clean and very well decorated. The lobby has a great vibe with modern/artistic decor and an amazing view. The breakfast was great, with local products and the staff was amazing, she prepared a lot of the delicious food that was offered (I assume she was the owner/administrator). This is the hotel if you are visiting the Bolgheri area. "

"Relais Sant’Elena is the perfect retreat after the go-go-go of city travel - a peaceful, sanctuary to slow down and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The food was unbelievable: farm-to-fork in the truest sense, simple cooking done perfectly at both breakfast and dinner. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back! Highly recommend, especially for a convenient place to stay before flying out of the Pisa airport."

"Everyone in the hotel was very accommodating. The front staff spoke a little English and enough to get us checked in and feel comfortable. Most staff spoke only Italian or Spanish, but that is understandable. It felt like a resort such that we were in the middle of coutry-side a d close to the beach within 10 miles. They had a HUGE pool and attendants making sure the site was clean, maintained, and secure. Very happy about their breakfast options and dinner selections. We did mostly eat out...

"Una buona soluzione per un breve soggiorno a Suvereto. La struttura è ben tenuta, con parcheggio e a due passi dal centro storico. Camera piccola per tre persone. Purtroppo l’aria condizionata non è efficiente in caso di gran caldo, se possibile forse meglio le stanze al piano terra. Buona la colazione.Prezzo della stanza un po’ caro per il tipo di camera, ma prenotata all’ultimo momento."

"We stayed one night during our trip. Check in was seamless and staff was helpful. The place is huge, facilities are ok but it was clean. You’re in the middle of nowhere so it’s easier to dine in, that being said, dinner is a set price without drinks, it was not the greatest even though they had a couple of options in the menu. It’s very convenient if you have to stay in the area, otherwise there are better options somewhere else. We skipped breakfast so not sure if it’s good or not."

"It was peaceful and quiet place to rest. Having private carpark was good. The host gave us a bottle of Rosé wine which we were pleasantly surprised. The Aircon unit in the place had only heating function, the cooling function was not available. Tried to let in fresh cool air by opening the windows but there was no insect screens so the insects flew in as well. In the end, we slept in the room that was warm and stuffy. It would have great if fans were provided."
