I had stayed at the hotel years ago and had fond memories of my experience, so I didn’t mind paying almost $300/night, I was expecting a nice hotel. "The property was small but convenient to stay for few days. The staff are friendly and answered my questions. The room was clean and they have shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion too. Which is really nice! They even have keurig for coffee! They also clean our room without us asking for it. The only thing was we can hear people from outside and upstairs. Overall it was really good place to stay in. Will stay here when I visit Carmel again. Everything was so close here!"

"Our room was nice and the space was clean. While it felt a bit dated, it was still a great place to stay. Parking was easy at the hotel and the continental breakfast was typical. The woman who checked us in offered us a log for the fireplace, which was a nice touch. Also she gave some great recommendations for local dinner/drinks."

"The staff was very welcoming with local information regarding restaurants and sight seeing opportunities. The pool was warmed to 78 degrees and Jacuzzi was clean and perfect to unwind for the long walks since the hotel is in a perfect spot to enjoy the sights! It’s centrally located to shopping and restaurants. We walked to the wharf and old adobe structures throughout. Great choice for a reasonable price and location!"

"Hampton Inn is always clean and reliable. This property was smaller than most Hampton Inn but reasonably priced for Monterey. The breakfast was fair and my young grandchildren enjoyed the waffles."
