This is a very cute hotel. Great room decoration and an excellent breakfast. It was nice to have parking at a reasonable price. Friendly staff made it a very enjoyable stay.

It is a beautiful historic property. We were able to stay in the historic house and we loved it. It was very close to the the aquarium, shopping and lots of dining. We would definitely stay there again.

Location was great, very close to downtown, the bay and the aquarium. I was able to park about a block away in a public lot that cost less than $10 a day. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was great, especially wing able to sit outside and enjoy it

Comfortable, quiet, spotless room with high ceilings and shared balcony. Downtown Monterey and the wharf are walkable. Off street parking is tight but welcome. Breakfast items very fresh and clean pleasant breakfast room. Staff friendly and very helpful. Would happily stay here again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We learned about the history of the Merritt House from the owner and her grsndson, Tanner. It is within walking distance to Cannery Row, museums, and the aquarium. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. We will definitely stay there again when in the Monterey area.
