"Location of the resort was good. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach. Room was clean and spacious. You had to leave a deposit $ if you wanted to use the gym which i thought was odd. Gym equipment was old and basic. Philippino staff were very friendly but not so much of the owner. There were several occasions where he never acknowledged us when we approached the reception or spoke to the staff . This didn’t make us feel valued for giving him our business."

"It wasn’t worth what we paid. Instead of getting to rest, we had issues with the air conditioner. The first technician already knew that the control or buttons were broken but didn’t tell us. When the second technician arrived, he just cleaned the filter, but it still didn’t work. They made us wait another 30 minutes even though they already knew the control was faulty. In the end, we were transferred to another room. The staff at the reception were also quite rude, and even some of the other...

"Check in time was 2PM, would have been nice if they let us in the room at 1:45PM. Seems really good unnecessary to keep us out of room when it was already cleaned and available. Water in shower was at best luke warm on the highest setting. Not exactly up to standard on cleanliness and in room amenities. Won’t return."

"D’Gecko was a wonderful place to stay. It was incredibly clean I think they cleaned the floors of the hotel at least 3 times a day and gave us slippers to wear around to make sure that the floors stayed clean. The room was quiet and relaxing with a great air conditioner that left you feeling cooled off after long hot days. Additionally the staff was very helpful, the booked rides for us and gave us recommendations on where to go during our trip and how much to pay. Overall and great experience...

"disgusting conditions and unreasonable staff. they have signs in the rooms that the septic system gets backed up and i'm assuming that this was the case. the room had an overpowering sewage smell. after arguing with the clerk and owner who thought that i should just stay in the room anyway, i waited a half hour for them to get me in another room that they guaranteed didn't smell, but as soon as the toilet in that room was flushed, that room smelled as well. after waiting for another half hour...
