Hotels near Minnesota Valley State Recreation Area

"Clean hotel and casino but I’ve never met so many rude employees in my life. First, my husband bought a coffee from Caribou and they made other peoples drink but completely forgot about him. They said that he didn’t buy anything when he had a receipt. Next, the waitress at the restaurant we went to was very short and rude to my whole family. We didn’t matter to her and that was apparent. We asked another waitress for the necessities like napkins and silverware and without asking if we needed anything else, she walked away very quickly and didn’t stop back. Lastly, at the front desk, when we were trying to check out, my husband was standing in line at the counter and a man behind the desk rudely shouted “leave your hotel key on the desk and have a nice day”. Not to mention, comic bingo was fun but the music was too loud and the man spoke too quiet and too fast. Mind you, this was my birthday weekend and we had a good time but I don’t think we will be going back. "

"Tried to cancel once we arrived. Outside was rundown, gatbage everywhere. Not at all like the pictures showed. Was told there were connecting rooms there, that was a lie. Couldn't cancel on site or online. We left to find a better hotel for the same price. "

"Staff was excellent. Very fast check in. Stayed on a Friday night so was a little loud with activity outside. Very close to a busy intersection and freeway and 24/7 McDonald’s Donald’s drive thru. So could here loud accelerations all through the night."

"Nice clean hotel. Pool-spa was nice and clean area. Hotel is a bit dated and shows a bit of its age, but nice clean and a good value for place and time. "
