"We were not sure what to expect before arriving at The Pell, but we had the most amazing stay. We didn’t want to leave and actually considered extending our stay. Our room was large and comfortable, everyone was so nice and helpful, and the food and coffee were great. The hotel was very close to all of the sites in Newport; location was very convenient. The price we paid for what we got was an insane steal and we will definitely be returning when we go back to Newport. One of our favorite trips to date."

"The location is fantastic- it’s right across from the beach and within walking distance of Cliff Walk. There are places to eat also within walking distance and a very short drive to downtown Newport. The room we had was clean and had a great view. The breakfast was a nice touch and any minor issue we had was handled promptly by the staff. (Needing another blanket or vending machine needing to be refilled!) Just note that the elevator is slow and a little small/clunky but it works and is up to code! It’s not fancy- more like a beach vibe- and was a great stay."

"Exhausted after traveling through New England for two weeks, we were welcomed at the desk by Julia, who was amazing. She right away gave us a welcome gift of two bottles of water. We were early to our room booking, and we asked her for ideas for something to do until our late afternoon tour started. She graciously looked to see if a room was ready for us. What a nice surprise! We were able to park very near to our room, unpack and relax and catch our breath before setting off for our afternoon tour of Newport Mansions. Our room was spacious and everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom shower, sink and fixtures sparkled as if it were all brand new. Good sized towels, too! The breakfast area was large and bright, clean and cheery. There was a wide variety of hot and cold selections and our meals were delicious. We had an extra amount of recycling with us and when checking out, Julia advised us where to leave it all and that the staff would take care of it. We were well cared for at this hotel by the entire staff. But also, the design and layout of the hotel added to the high level of comfort we experienced during our stay."
