"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! The hut was perfect, the bed extremely comfortable with high-quality linens and duvet/pillows. Kitchen very well-supplied with everything I needed (and more). "Nice hotel lovely setting. Room was nice. Breakfast was ample and good choice. Pool facilities were nice but shower out of use. No bathrobes in bedroom or slippers had to get reception to deliver them they were not held at dos pool either other than that a very pleasant stay "

"Heythrop is nestled in the Cotswods, in and around a magnificent 18thc manor. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous building. Plenty to occupy. Lots of options to eat drink while the time away, not forgetting Spa and golf options. Staff are very helpful, rooms are comfy. "

"A modern bland extension to a country house. Room was unremarkable. Bathroom was disappointingly shabby. Bar and restaurant were ok, but nowhere to sit at the bar, I could only sit at a dining table set for dinner when having a drink at the bar. It was not comfortable and gave the impression I was encroaching on dining space. Staff did not come and clear table either. Overall disappointing. Looked nice in the pictures but the experience did not match it. "
