Breakfast was included there was a selection of cereal, toast and cooked breakfast to order which was very nice. "One night stay in May 2024. The White Horse is a pub no more than 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ripon and the cathedral. The rooms are converted stables at the back of the pub. The decor is basic and a little tired but if you’re going to book somewhere like this then you mustn’t expect opulence. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay here again on a return trip to Ripon. "

"There are only 3 pods, which protects the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The view is exceptional and a place to truly relax. The pods offer a good standard of living space with a lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. The local sheep add an interesting intro to being in the countryside and lovely to watch. The pod is reached by a narrow single track road but this didn’t cause us any difficulties. The location is great for getting most places in the Dales. We will definitely be back. "

"Wonderful stay with my friend at our 2 dogs, great facilities if you have dogs and very secure for them. It is worth noting that you can not pull your car directly up to the hut to unpack and pack, but it is only a very short walk. Lots of nice walks and secure places for dogs to have a run off the lead. Wildlife in the area is second to non. We walked into Thirsk from the huts and had a lovely lunch and such a pretty town. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning. "

"The rooms were neat and tidy, room rate high for size of room. On the plus side the staff were attentive and kind seeing to our every need. I was attending a wedding the whole experience for the bride and groom was excellent. The food was exceptional a big thank you to the chef and his team.
