Great location in a historic house if you do not mind using stairs for second floor access. Close to Coconut Grove restaurants. Recommended.

The place was very clean / comfortable. The instructions were very clear. The place was very quiet. The area around the property was nice with amenities. I strongly recommend this property.

Best stay in coconut grove and affordable. It was in the most perfect spot with restaurants and shopping centers at walking distance. as girls we felt completely safe staying at this shared space home and the only thing i can say is it was comfortable and the rooms are more spacious than the photos say. We loved it here and would definitely come back and stay at this historical home.

I really liked this property. The only minor difficulties were the electronic door locks were erratic, and the parking was a garage a block and one half away. All told, I was very, very pleased.

Beautiful historical inn in Coconut Grove. There are great restaurants, shopping, and it is close to downtown. 1 star off for the slow check in communication. Had to call and email the property management company multiple times to receive door codes and arrival instructions.

Location is perfect.
No staff on premises
Tub with hand held shower only. Mildew and mold on shower curtain.
Parking garage was around the other side of the block, about a 5 minute walk—not terrible except in the rain!

The only thing I’d point out is that there are is no on-site staff. However, there is always someone taking calls. However, it truly is that sort of thing that just doesn’t exist anymore. The house was restored and looks nearly like the day it was built. Other than that, you really are missing out on something very special by not staying there.

Property is situated steps away from the amazing Coconut Grove strip - which has tons of amazing restaurants, bars, and cafes. Neighbourhood is well lit, and felt very safe to walk around at night.
Keyless entry to the residence was a breeze, and the interior and rooms are absolutely gorgeous - such a nice change from your standard hotels. Was a bit tricky to shower in the clawfoot tubs without getting water anywhere, but we were able to manage. The rooms also have ample storage for clothes and belongings.
Parking is unfortunately not onsite - but you can pull up to unload your bags, and the parking garage is a 2-3 mins walk around the corner (the concierges there were excellent, and underground parking felt very secure).
All in all, thrilled with our decision to stay here, and have already recommended it to friends and family.

Horrible chrck in process. Electronic code thatt was enailed was a generic one that worked on all doors. Took forever to get get a secure code. No response via phone to calls for help, only text messaging. No response to request for wifi password. No daily housecleaning (and not enough garbage recepticals). No onsite parking. Their lot was in a garage lot you had to walk to with a complicated process to get security to let you in.

The property and the bedroom very nice but there is no cleaning service during the stay. I stayed 11 days and i asked for the room service and they told me that they clean the room after i leave. I am on holidays, the last thing that i have in my in mind its to be cleaning the hotel bathroom, etc.
Other point is the parking area, it is not in the property it is in street behind and there is not connection between the parking area and the stirrup house, you have to walk out. For me was a problem, i used to arrive very late at night.
This is a place to stay maximum 3 days, no more than that. The bedroom and bathroom have to be cleaned everyday or every 2 days, and it is absurd for me to be cleaning the bedroom and bathroom or looking for a place to wash the towels during my holidays.

Very nice home with a wonderful history. The staff that I dealt with were very helpful and sweet. This place would be best suited for single travelers or a couple. The room is very cramped quarters and there’s nowhere to sit in the room to put on make up or do hair. The coffee option in the room was awful. This place could stand to use a Nespresso machine in the dining room area and get rid of the useless coffee makers in the room.
The shower in the room is a handheld nozzle and getting in and out of the tub felt like a safety risk.
The parking situation isn’t the best either. It’s a block away in another building - which was inconvenient and felt a little unsafe at night.
The location is nice and I love the idea of what they are trying to do with this home. Not the kind of travel situation for most to be honest and I feel bad saying that.

The bathtub was awful, they obviously want you to take a bath in a not so clean tub which is hard to step in to. It was only a hand-held faucet so it was impossible to wash your hair. If I didn't try to stuff the dirty shower curtain inside the tub, there would be water all over the floor. In addition, even though there was a parking lot on premise we had to drive the car around 2 blocks and park in an underground garage of an apartment building and walk back 2 blocks to the house. Why there was a $80 accomodations fee, I will never know, only thing offered was a general coffee machine(Keurig) but they ran out of water by 8 of our first morning and never replaced it during the 2 days we were there.

My high hopes for this property were instead met with a strange and incomplete experience. Some basic tenants of hospitality, such as providing clear and correct check-in information, were not fulfilled by the Stirrup House team. Design choices for the room were not very comfortable (lamp that is difficult to turn on, ill-equipped clawfoot tub, too tiny minifridge) and those were not offset by the provision of other amenities- which were not provided. There are other ways in which this felt like an odd air bnb collective encounter, and that was all the more disappointing when considering the historical value and story of this house.

The only complaints I have about the house was the overpowering Lysol scent. I mean I understand clean, don't get me wrong, but it was to the point of almost being like headache worthy. The bed had little black flakes on it which wasn't a big deal and that's about all I can really say that was not absolutely perfect. It was a cozy and quaint room, and we had everything we needed really. I would say to use different codes around the house because I'm sure that with the front door being one code and our door being just our room number and the same code, all the other rooms could be the same. Like room number one could be one XXX room number two could be two XXX etc and I feel like if someone untrustworthy was in the house they could have come into our room at any time. That's it that's all the complaints I have not really a big deal. Everything else was great, the bed was amazing I love that bed.

If you need a place to shower and sleep at when in the heart of Miami, this is a good option! great to walk around the grove area and to different restaurants. It felt safe and easy to access with your own code, and the parking was good as it felt safe that our car was in a garage literally on the street behind the house. The building the garage was located in did have electrical issues so the elevator wasn’t working for one day, but I didn’t mind since there was always security watching the garage. Wish there were more towels provided, and specifically towels that weren’t stained as some felt dirty. The tub is nice, but hard when the shower head is not high, making it hard to wash your hair. The shower curtain and lining also had mildew and stains and the drain didn’t work well so the water would accumulate in the tub. Because it’s a historic building, it’s not sound proof entirely so I did hear other guests’ alarms in the morning or foot steps, but not horrible. I did have issues with checking-in and was provided with a phone number in the email that wasn’t correct but eventually got in contact with staff who were nice to sort it all out before I arrived. Definitely would consider again

I had too many frustrating experiences in this place.
I wish I can get refund or at least some money backs
And also they don’t allow you to post bad reviews they make you repost many times.
1. When I checked in, my flight was late at night. When I got to the room, there was no keypad to enter the code as stated in the instructions. I had to contact someone late at night to find out there were keys in the box. Another person at the Airbnb was disturbed by me trying to enter my room.
2. The shower room has mold in it, which is disgusting. When you shower, water comes out of the tub even if you use the curtains.
3. There was no light in the room, making it annoying to pack. You have to turn on the bathroom lights.
4. I have seen two cockroaches in the room during my 6-day stay.
5. The only good thing about staying here was the location, with breakfast and dinner spots nearby.
6. I booked this 3 months in advance and am disappointed with the stay.
7. This place looks very clean in the pictures and on Instagram, but it's misleading. The room is not exactly how it looks online.

I paid for my room in full. Received an email to fill out a questionnaire which didn’t work. Was provided with a phone number that doesn’t exist. Had to walk to the location to only be given information from a guest, that I should receive an email with a code to enter the house, which I never did. The stay never happened because there was absolutely no information provided whatsoever after I made my transaction. I had to end up booking a room elsewhere
