"A very warm welcome and a lovely room. Bed was comfy and the hotel was quiet for a good night's sleep. A short walk to the beach and pier, and also not too far to the town centre. My only negative was the bathroom is tiny. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"Fantastic hotel, staff were so friendly and helpful. All the communal areas (bar/restaurant/reception/gardens) were very high standard. Rooms (we had small double) were exactly that, well appointed and small. The goose down pillows were extremely comfortable as was the bed. 4 x 22kwh electric chargers in the car park at a reasonable 59p/Kw Short walk to the town centre and the beach."

"Jane and Ged were fantastic: so friendly and welcoming, and the place is lovely. We stayed in the top floor room with the air conditioning due to the heat, and slept comfortably despite the hot weather. The bathroom was a little snug for my broad shoulders, but still fine. No breakfast Nov-May so can't comment on that, but they gave us some suggestions for other places to eat, which were all fantastic. "Great hotel between Bournemouth city center and the beach, with friendly and service minded staff. The food in the restaurant is brilliant and the chef goes out of his way to make great food for his guests, provided he has the ingredients. Note that some rooms had defunct AC at the time of our visit. And if the hotel is the venue for a wedding party on a Saturday, the kitchen and bar is overly busy and there will be some noise in the rooms upstairs."

"Decent size room, very clean rooms, big size beds and to top it all off fantastic air conditioning for the hot weather, would stop here again in the future if I ever go back to Bournemouth."

"Great hotel. Have been coming for years for an annual birthday night out with a group of friends. Guy at reception was very friendly, especially as we were concerned we may not be able to park there as no space, but did manage to in the end. Hotel is great...not the most modern, no, but homely and rooms have always been spacious, clean and welcoming. The bar/club is great for a night out. Would definitely recommend. Very close to town centre and beach too. Well done Royal Exeter!"
