Top Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology Hotel Reviews
Fiesta Inn Insurgentes Sur
8/10 Good
"Good:
The room was clean.
The staff are positive and try to help.
The bathroom and rain-shower-head were very good. I liked the plumbing fixtures.
The hotel is located on a major bus line (Metrobus Line 1), and is about a 15-minute walk from a subway station.
The hotel is near a big supermarket that is open until 10:00 PM.
Bad:
The first room they gave us was noisy, due to the roof fans that are near all the junior suites.
Our suite had no dishes or cutlery, so we had to ask for them.
The small empty concrete wading pool outside the front entrance of the hotel is a dangerous tripping-hazard.
There are no laundry facilities in the hotel, and the laundry service is very expensive.
The room-service catering was expensive too.

6/10 Okay
"Good:
The breakfast included sliced tomatoes, meat, cheese, cottage cheese, bread and more.
The room was clean.
Mauricio at the front desk is helpful and speaks English well.
The staff are positive and try to help.
The hotel is located on a major bus line (Metrobus Line 1), and it is near a big supermarket that is open until 10:00 PM.
Bad:
The first room they gave us smelled of sewage. We rejected it and so they gave us a better room.
The lighting in the room was very dim.
The toilet was in poor condition and the kitchenette sink was poorly installed.
The shower was small and dark, and the water temperature tended to fluctuate.
The suite had no dishes or cutlery, so we had to ask for them.
Even though we stayed in an interior room without any street view, we could always hear low-level background noise.

"The property is beautiful and situated in a upscale quiet area of the university. There is a park nearby with a Bosque forest if you'd like to hike and exercise. It is located a little ways from the center of town. So you have to be prepared to allow time for traffic can be bas
The staff are all very polite and helpful. There was one that was trying to sell us private tours which we were not interested in.
Breakfast was very good. The staff didn't understand English well and told us there was charge for ordering on the menu. So we just ate the continental breakfast. But in retrospect, it should've been included.
I traveled with a friend who had his own room. Both our rooms have doors connecting to another room. There is a large space underneath the door . Therefore, the light from nextdoor and noise comes through to our rooms.

"Casa Jacinta is a lovely property in the leafy green Coyoacan area. It is an old house converted into a hotel. Our two bed room was on the main floor, convenient for stairs. It had two beds and was very spacious, with doors out to the lovely walled garden. It was very quiet. The breakfast was delicious and Sara the cook very nice. It is easy walking distance to the Frida Kahlo museum and Coyoacan historic center. One tip if taking Uber--there is also a Casa Jacinto! Not the same place! Be sure to put in Casa JacintA."
"I keep coming back to this hotel. Excellent staff, lap pool, walking distance to El Batán Park where I can run, desk long enough for two people, just ask for an extra chair. "
