"We didnt see any shops, my only reason for one low score, is that we were in room 7 on Friday 20th March. When we went to the room the smell of Fresh paint was very strong. The young lady on reception moved us to another room. Which was perfect. "

"A gem of a BnB. From the warm friendly and welcoming greeting on arrival, through to the wonderful tasty breakfast in the morning. We only stayed one night, but were made to feel so at home. The rooms and amenities were lovely and clean, with well considered playful decor. The bed was also really comfortable. The full breakfast was a beast a bit much for us but you could pick what you wanted so we went with just bacon, sausage and eggs with toast. It was cooked perfectly and the ingredients...

"We stay several times a year when visiting locally to see family. Always a warm welcome by the staff even when arriving late in the evening. The rooms are clean and simple, perfect for a few nights break when we just need to sleep and are out all day. Breakfast is a buffet help your self with a range of cooked food, cereals and pastries and fruit available. Even got porridge! Thanks for another lovely stay. "

"The room i had booked wss not ready at the dtated 3pm. We were in hurry so said we would take a different one. The check-in was otherwise easy. Our room was modern with a king size bed, a small seating area, a fridge ironing board and tea tray. The bathroom had a big shower and was pristine. "

"Great location and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room itself was ok, a bit tired and in need of a refresh, it was clean and the bed comfy. I’d say breakfast wasn’t cooked to order purely by the speed it appeared, it was standard English breakfast, though felt one rasher of bacon and one sausage was a bit of a poor show, when you generally get two of each of those items elsewhere. "My daughter and I had such a lovely time at the hotel and spa, Rudolph greeted us with his lovely smile and willingness to help during our stay at the hotel,the food at Wilfreds was amazing and every member of staff were polite and attentive,we also had a day at the spa,wow!what an experience,it exceeded our expectations,the lovely Lorna looked after us ,the whole experience from the massage the facilities the food , cleanliness and especially the staff was amazing ."

"Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small with stains on the carpet and marks on the wall - not great. Evening meal was very good in terms of quality. Not great was serving time and overall state of chairs and tables. Chairs were absolutely uncomfortable and tables wabbly in restaurant and breakfast room. Parking was OK, but road into property is full of potholes."

"I booked the Royal Toby as a solo traveller. I was made so welcome by the reception staff. I was immediately put at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was spacious and airy. "The room was lovely and clean and comfortable, we arrived and got a parking spot next to the hotel. Communication is excellent. Lighting on arrival so we could put the code into the building was fantastic. We were in the first room. It was modern with a lovely big bed, with a walk-in shower which is ideal for me as I struggle with mobility. It was a tiny step into the shower, about 2 centimetres high, which didn’t cause me any issues. The room had a big TV and settee, table, small wardrobe. We...
