This property is in a great location for travel between Wellington and Auckland. Easy dining options within walking distance but no on site food options. Spacious room with excellent in-room amenities for short or long stays

Loved the easy parking not fronting a main road, so the noise comes into the room front doors much less. We had the easy access room No1; it was spacious with a very comfortable medium firm bed, a kitchenette and large bathroom. Good range of TV channels. Welcoming and informative front desk staff. Right across the road from a New World supermarket makes the kitchenette even more sensible.

Friendly host - clean place , near town
The place is nice and cosy with the bedroom upstairs , car park right in front , wifi is a bit slow , otherwise all perfect , the lady host is very friendly

Everything was pristine and so clean. Could not sleep due to traffic on road behind us. Also given handicapped room with shower that put water all over the floor so it was wet underfoot. Could not use bathroom without getting wet feet and very slippery.

Hi Leonie,Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We do have double glazing which lowers the traffic noise unfortunately we cannot control the traffic. We do have very good water pressure which the shower head is adjustable. The non slip mat when place correctly over the shower drain limits the water going over the floor.

The property is immaculate. The room was tastefully decorated and well equipped. The owner's are friendly and helpful and the property is well located. The only downside was a slightly tired bed.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like, location was perfect, Hosts were very helpful and friendly, it was also quiet as all windows had double glazing Overall we were very happy with our stay and the water pressure of the shower was fantastic.

Great place to stay if in the area for visiting Hobbiton or some other reason. Hotel was clean, quiet & roomy & walkable to town for anything you need.

Fantastic location
Hillary was extremely accomodating with our daughter who stayed for two nights. We have stayed twice before and find the location ideal, an easy walk across the road to New World & The Warehouse and a quick minutes drive to the main street shopping. Nice clean rooms and easy access for parking as we stayed on the ground level. A+

The motel owners showed us to the property and explained everything to us when we arrived. Wonderful personal touch and the unit was immaculate and extremely clean - best unit on our NZ holiday !

HIWA RaceDay & Hobbiton Movie Set
This was the only last minute accommodation available close to Tauranga for a Race Day Meeting. It was outstanding accommodation just for a good nights sleep. We only got in after 9.30pm & checked out by 10am for a visit to The Hobbiton Movie Set which is about a 10min drive away.

Short one night stay here hotel handily located to main street in matamata with shops, cafes etc. Quiet, spotlessly clean facilities, great shower overall comfortable room. TV, wifi and facilities to cook in room if required didn't use but looked fine. Easy on-site parking would stay again if in area. Thanks.
