"Easily accessible location with lots of parking. Hotel spacious and checking in was quick and easy. Rooms very comfortable with all the usual facilities. Restaurant food was very good and plenty of selection for breakfast."

"Well located close to centre of town. The car parking is free and directly behind the hotel. Our welcome was warm and the hosts continued to be warm and friendly throughout our stay. Our room was right at the top. It was a small room and very warm because of the heatwave. A fan was provided. Room facilities were fine for a short stay with a comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast choices were good and the food was excellent. Service with a smile. We would be happy to return to this hotel in the future and wish the hosts success when they decide to reopen the restaurant."

"Whatever structural deficiencies the physical building may have, and there were a few, the warm, welcoming atmosphere created by hosts Jamie and Rob more than made up for it. The Horseshoe Inn is the type of place where you are immediately treated as family, and you don't want to leave at the end of your stay because you're afraid no one else would do it any better. Jamie and Rob do everything, from preparing and cooking all their menu items from scratch, chatting up their regular pub customers, making sure you have what you need. "The hotel and staff were fantastic but the noise from drunk people using the drinking area on top of the room and opposite was not nice as woken with shouting/swearing late at night driving off in there loud exhaust car parked under our room window (not an official space either). Air con would be useful. Restaurant was lovely."
