"Extremely friendly staff nice room and bathroom "

"Looking for a convenient location to stay while over watching the bikes at Oulton Park. Brilliant location and brilliant stay. Rooms were clean and spacious with a comfy bed. Staff were brilliant, both behind and front of bar. Ate there 2 nights, fantastic both times. Another cracking pub within walking distance. Continental breakfast spot on. Would I stay again, without a doubt. "

"Property location is good and staff worked hard to please guests. Condition and cleanliness of the property isn't great, and proximity to the road was an issue in my room - every time a HGV hit a pothole outside the floor of the room shook."

"A lot of money for the standards. Broken glass near the outside seating areas clearly left from the night before. The hotel is dated and could do with being modernised. The full English breakfast was awful - undercooked, fatty and tasteless bacon, poor quality sausages, cold toast, no mushrooms was just unappealing."

"Cold tap didn’t work in bath, no cold in shower, sink tap when on meant to shower, overall plumbing in bathroom was awful."

"We had the most wonderful stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They left a beautiful cake for my birthday! The breakfast was exceptional, nice view of the canal. The hotel smelt amazing and they had all the amenities you will need. I will definitely be staying again."

"Excellent location and friendly staff! There was a lovely lady called jules on the reception who was very helpful throughout my stay. Only bad thing is that the windows in the room don’t open so air can feel quite foisty but the aircon was good"

"Amazing hotel food in the restaurant was beautiful and lovely experience and nice to see the hotel in such great shape. The spa facilities were great and easy to access and very clean. I would like to especially mention the bar and restaurant staff who worked in the evening who were so so plesent and welcoming making everyone in the resturant enjoy there time. Once again such a great experience."
