I’ve stayed in Pod51 several times over the last three years. I’ve always been pretty happy with it but this time not so much.
The bathrooms and toilets were not clean and the top bunk bed shelf had a piece of chewing gum sitting it. I assume it had not been cleaned in a while.

Exceptionally clean, but also exceptionally smaller than portrayed. So much so it is a struggle to fit a suitcase in the room.

Slow elevators. Small rooms. Very close to popular parts of Manhatten though, and close to a train station and some good food places.

Super comfy! However, the bathroom was slightly questionable, the sink and shower was designed to get water all over the place and a fire alarm is placed right next to the shower which is easy to set off with all the steam. I would suggest a fan, otherwise great stay.

Good location and rooms at a good price. One minor complaint, the shared bathroom(s) should have a shelf in it to put your things, instead of just a single clothing hook.
