Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge is a great place to stay if you are looking for a bit of the Amazon while maintaining comfort and convenience. The accommodations and food were great. Rooms are very clean, almost completely bug free (which is hard to do in the jungle), staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a beautiful natural pool for swimming or relaxing. The only complaint my group had was that the tours were of poor quality. The guide we had, Francisco, was great and he was born and raised in the jungle, which meant he had a lot of indigenous knowledge. However, the tours were short, they were right around the Lodge and there wasn't much to see. Luckily there are some neat animals that call the Lodge home: a macaw, a sloth and her baby, about 5 types of monkeys, and some slitheries. We found the price we paid exceptional because we got a great price on Expedia and then just did pay as you go with tours, food and drink. Most people there are on packages, which are common and very expensive in the Brazilian Amazon. We felt that if we had booked a package, which start at about $350/person/night and go up, that the value wouldn't have been satisfying. We paid $81/night for a 3-4 person room and food, drinks and tours came up to under $300 each for 4 days and 3 nights. A woman we spoke to had a package for 2 nights and 2 days that cost her $1200. My advice is that Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge is a great place to stay if you are just looking for Amazon light.
