"The staff was super helpful. There is a lot of value for your money with space for 4 to sleep and a fridge. It has air conditioning and hot water. When the power went out they were quick to show us the switch for the generator. It's close to the beach, restaurants and stores."

"I had the misfortune to arrive by bus from Managua on a rainy day. I thus had difficulty in finding the Hostal. When I did, at aout 7 pm, the person at the reception did not even ask to identify me, and I was led to a room with a window giving on the corridor, a small old sink giving only a tiny fillet or water, etc. Only cold water, but that seems to be general in San Juan. I eventually got used to all these "perks"..."
