"This is a unique property spread over several acres of vineyards. There are multiple units to choose from & we stayed in the cottage. This was a lovely independent stone cottage overlooking the sea with a loft bedroom, kitchen and living room. It was a very special stay during our time on Madeira & we can’t recommend it enough. "We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Lovely property is a great location walkable down to town. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view! All our meals were delicious and the staff friendly. My favorite part was the selection of gorgeous places to sit by sea and ease to go for a swim in the refreshing water."

"The hotel is in great location, convenient parking near the property (2 one open and one covered). The hotel seemed family friendly, we were a couple, but weren't bothered by any kids noises even though our balcony overlooked the pool. The pool itself was closed some of the times but there's direct access to the ocean, which we enjoyed very much"

"As usual we found The Vine up to it's usual high standard. The staff are undoubtedly the stars. We have lost count of how many times we have stayed here. It is ideally situated close to the centre of Funchal. One new feature we found was the Sunday evening buffet with entertainment by the Madeira Folklore group. Excellent value, with an incredible hot and cold buffet, drinks included. Highly recommended, and we will certainly be booking our place on our next visit. Also worth a mention is the spa treatment, incredible massages. Thanks once again to the incredible staff for looking after us so well."

"The hotel was beautiful, our ocean view room was great and the staff were very kind and helpful. The only downsides are that the hotel is far from Funchal and most other tourist landmarks/hiking trails, which is inconvenient. Also, there are a lot of hidden costs, like the poolside beds, laundry or spa services. Overall it was an amazing stay if you want to relax but if you want to explore the island I’d recommend staying in Funchal."

"Really excellent stay here, first time to this Hotel, 5th time to Madeira. I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel, one of the best I have ever stayed at! Staff are really nice, friendly, and cannot do enough for you. Rooms - Standard, all very ample, clean and tidy, ample room etc. I would pick a full sea view if possible. Food and Drinks, amazing, loads of choices. Lots to choose from! breakfast all very good, lunch excellent and dinner. Sports Bar and Snack area are amazing. Great location, checkin and reception staff all very good, again cannot do enough for you. Would 100% revisit this hotel with our family again! Also the come around at the pool and can get drinks for you - amazing, but I choice at some days to get it myself, exercise and all that :)"
