"A lovely stay at the Royal Oak for one night. Very friendly and attentive staff. They were more than happy to arrange late access to the property due to us having to return to the room late at night. Breakfast was excellent, with options for full English or kippers, plus plenty of toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. The car park is very small, and can't accommodate all vehicles, however there is ample parking on the road at the front of the property. The room was comfortable with clean linens....

"I LOVED this hotel. I’m a world touring cyclist and I love quiet and remote. This hotel was FANTASTIC. Idyllic setting high above the bay. Beautiful grounds. Lovely gardens. Stunning. The hotel just had a makeover and it looks beautiful! My room overlooked the sea—clean and comfortable and a great bathtub! Breakfast was plentiful and high quality. A dreamy stop as I pedal the UK. Many, many thanks! "

"Right in the centre of the village, perfect for finding pubs, places to eat etc. Room was fantastic. Really quite big. Also, spotless. Good check in, Cameron couldn’t have been more helpful. Breakfast is also really good."

"Staithes is a beautiful village, although we were certainly lucky with the weather. The Inn was a great place to stay, with a tucked away car park at the rear. Nice big room and good bathroom. Great breakfast including kippers as an option. It is short walk down into the village where there are other eating and drinking options too and lovely walks and views. Steep back up though!"

"Fabulous one night stay for girlfriend's birthday surprise in the Marakesh room. Great host to greet us upon arrival and provide help with information on the hotel and local area. Beautiful room and setting, with easy access to private parking and just a few mins walk to public transport links. Lovely continental breakfast taken in the courtyard just outside our room.Will definitely return and experience a different themed room."

"We stayed with our young son for 3 nights in July 2024. The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed and great with interacting with our young son. The food - breakfast and dinner - is truly incredible with nothing too much trouble. The only downside we experienced really was that we were in a room on the top floor which, while the room had clearly been hoovered etc, it was dusty in places with lots of cobwebs - while we don't mind spiders, we removed...
