the property is perfectly located 2 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the town center. the hotel is in a beautiful building with a gorgeus garden and a dreamlike view of the bay. the rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is delicious but the best part for us were the people working there, They always make sure you feel welcome and provide excellent service, give suggestions and tips on what's going on and what to do around the area. the vibe of the place is just great. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

Great stay
Had a truely lovely stay here for two nights. The service was brilliant , very helpful and genuinely happy to have you there. Breakfast was delicious and the views from the garden are beautiful.

Marvellous Mariners
We loved every minute! We had a lovely welcome, in spite of the staff being very busy when we arrived with a wake! Our rooms were very comfortable and mine had a very large cupboard, which suited me perfectly. We played cards with the children in the downstairs dining room, where we were well looked after all evening! Good breakfast and cheerful lady serving us!

AVOID!!!! Booked hotel on Friday 3rd July 2020 @£144 for the room for the next night. Tried to check in on Saturday 4th, but the hotel was shut! No explanation or apology. Telephone number for hotel rang out, but the number on door for deliveries was for Ciaran, who didn’t even work there anymore. He said other people had called in the same situation earlier that day. He called the owners, who said the hotel wasn’t opening for the foreseeable future. Was 200 miles from home and had nowhere to go! Ended up spending a fortune as I had to take last remaining room in the town whilst desperate. Called Expedia, but they won’t refund until they speak to the manager. They have the unattended hotel number, so I guess that’s not going to happen. Suspect I’m not going to be reimbursed. AVOID!!!!

Lyme Regis Break
Pleasant hotel in Lyme Regis, lovely large garden area to rear of hotel with great views of the town and sea. Evening meal was delicious as were the many choices for breakfast. Good points for us; very dog friendly, easy walking distance into town (uphill return journey!!) and large car park. All the staff were very friendly and helpful (our dog appreciated her breakfast sausage!!) Comfortable bedroom.

Very welcoming, nice hotel. Convenient car park but a walk up a very steep hill from town. Evening Meals are too pricey but the breakfast was nice.

Lovely stay, the staff could not have done more for us, we would definitely come back. The garden has a lovely view down the hill and the town is only 5 minutes walk away

It was very hilly for walking back to. If my husband had used the coffee machine I had to get down on my hands & knees to change the plug so that I could have a cup of tea

Small and Friendly Hotel with lovely garden
Enjoyed a couple of good days in this small hotel situated up the hill from the harbour. The staff were very accomodating, the public rooms smartly decorated and comfortable and the food (1 dinner, 2 breakfasts) was really good. My double room was a little on the small side and disappointingly wasn't cleaned on the 2nd day. I'm sure this was just an oversight as my friends' room was attended to; but this is the reason for giving only "ok" for cleanliness. In fairness, on arrival, the room was perfectly clean.

I stayed just the one night on a week day. My twin room appeared to have been recently renovated with light, modern furnishings and comfy beds. The shower room was well fitted, with a powerful shower and a good supply of shower gel, soap etc. The cooked breakfast was excellent... also the choice of having smoked haddock or kippers as an alternative.

A little disappointing
The hotel was a little tired, our room was small with no view the carpet was stained and the bathroom was exceptionally small. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very pleasant.

Good location. Old building so lots of low ceilings therefore not great for tall people. Nice views from bar/restaurant. Staff pleasant. Good breakfast. Could be cleaner. Also, tap water in rooms wasn't suitable for drinking (signs in room said so) but only one small bottle of drinking water provided, so had to buy more in bar.

lovely traditional hotel with a modern twist.
warm greeting at reception and help with my luggage without having to ask. comfortable, well furnished room , great shower. Staff at the bar, in the restaurant for dinner and in the breakfast room the next morning were all cheerful, friendly, polite and professional .

As usual the staff and the quality of the service and food exceeded expectations for this small hotel up above the main town. A quiet time of the year for tourists but the place functioned faultlessly. And great value too.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights 26th to 29th October. We were made to feel very welcome and all the hotel staff made you feel at home. We dined in the restaurant for the whole of our stay and were very impressed with the food.

We had 2 rooms for a 3 night stay. Very friendly staff, breakfast was excellent and the evening meal was superb. Rooms were well presented, comfortable and quiet. Refitted bathrooms were well presented but showers were hot but little water pressure. our Sons room (14) was a little cold as it was in the roof space and window news attention, but otherwise good. Good location with excellent parking however it is at the top of a steep hill...not for the faint of heart...but good exercise!! Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would and personally will.

Wonderful Weekend
We stayed in this lovely little hotel over a weekend in September. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff are all wonderful and charming. Fantastic location only 5-10 minutes walk from the sea front. Breakfast (included in the very reasonable room rate) was high quality. Beautiful views from the lounge add to the experience. Highly recommended. Whilst we didn't try the restaurant in the evening it clearly has a following of locals and has a wide ranging and attractive menu.

Stayed with a couple of friends here for the weekend. Was pleasant and friendly hotel. The only downside we identified was that the soundproofing between the rooms isnt great - to the point that even normal conversation is audible in the next room, so just to be aware of that.

Hotel location, room decor and comfort were very good. Breakfast was good. Was disappointed with the service from both the owner /manager and waitress. Didn't welcome us or smile at all both of them told us and others off for sitting at the wrong table for breakfast and din;t do this in afrindly way. Could have been solved by putting room numbers on the tables!

All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to see that despite being quite central to Lyme Regis (but thankfully a short distance up the hill and so away from the crowds) the hotel had a very pleasant garden with sea views as well as a comfortable lounge area. We will use the hotel again when we are in the area.

Nice old hotel and good location for lyme
The hotel is a very old building and has a lot of character with beams etc .we had a room on the roadside of the hotel which was a bit too noisy for me to geta good nights sleep as im a light sleeper but the room was lovely. The breakfast in the mornings were very tasty and plentiful and they cateredd well for my gluten allergy .i would stay again but would want a room on garden side of hotel.

Very enjoyable stay,in a quaint ,well located hotel.Staff helpful and courteous.High standards of cleanliness with excellent breakfasts.Two minor negatives : the attic room in which we stayed,whilst attractive has a rather small bathroom and toilet and traffic noise can be a little intrusive.Otherwise fine,Will stay there again.Thank you Jane Austen's Persuasion.
