To climb the tower, go up the first four flights of stairs to the ticket desk. The way is clearly marked with signs in multiple languages, including English. At the desk, pay 10 hrivna and then keep climbing up, up, and up until you reach the open deck at the top of the tower. Then enjoy the view!

The placid cathedral courtyard is a maze of arched passageways and squat buildings festooned with intricate Caucasian detail.
