"Charming hotel in a historic building. The late Victorian building was once the headquarters of the British secret service and so has echoes of Sidney Reilly, Bruce Lockhart and Ian Fleming . It was also housed the U.S. Embassy and the Soviet Embassy (on different floors) during WWIi. Winston Churchill had an office in the Liberal Club, which shares the building with the hotel. Aside from atmosphere, the hotel has a friendly staff who are eager to do things for the guests. Whitehall Gardens...
