Appalling service given the current situation

What started out as a decent stay got to be a bit scary due to COVID-19. The room itself was lovely (although the bed isn’t as comfortable as premier inn’s!). There are no baths at this hotel, so shower only - which wasn’t a great issue. However, what I was disappointed with was the food service. Initially, there was a “hot breakfast” option - sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, beans as well as a continental breakfast of fruit, cereal, toast, croissants, mini pastries, mini muffins, yoghurts, soya milk, jams, marmite, etc. However after the second night this was stopped “due to the Coronavirus”. Continental breakfast was then served - which, to be frank, was a joke. It comprised toast, cereal, and mini-croissants. Hardly a continental breakfast. By the third breakfast this had been COMPLETELY STOPPED. So no food at all being served by the hotel. I appreciate that government guidance was for bars and restaurants to shut - but takeaway service is still acceptable/allowed. However, the hotel didn’t provide this. I was left for the next two days with no breakfast, no option to obtain food at the hotel, and VERY limited options around the hotel as well. I have no understanding why the hotel couldn’t do some form of takeaway breakfast (pre-ordered, or that the staff prepared) for consumption in guests’ bedrooms (or room service!) given the unusual situation. Instead I was left to go hungry. The staff weren’t interested or concerned. I’ll definitely remember this!
