Ten out of ten
Great place and good location. staff very welcoming and helpful. lots of plates pots & pans for cooking, also fridge to store food, also great wall mounted TV with many good channels , If I had to pick a small thing no bin bags in kitchen and no surface cloths for wiping up. that aside I would highly recommend.

Please do not stay there
I was going to stay one week, but I decided to book one day before that so I could se the place. Thankfully, I did that. The place had holes in the walls, old carpet, missing pieces in the shower... The stairs smell like cigarettes. You can stay in a much better place with the same amount of money.

You get what you pay for. Room was small and dingy, which I could live with for 1 night. Location was great. More bothered by the fact that reception tried to charge my card again despite the being fully paid for. She only checked after I refused over and over (this was a reward night, and I saw some comments about suspicious charges on other reviews), and showed me a slip to say payment was only held, not charged. The name on the slip wasn't mine. When I pointed that out, she just said "mistake", no apologies. I cannot be sure if it was an honest error.

My first few days was in a tiny room with no Air conditioners. It only has an extractor fan. I had to open up windows during the day. Daily change of towels is the only service rendered. My six days wa on the same bedsheet

The room looked like a throwback to the 1980's, meaning that the furnishings seemed to be at least 30 years old, and not well cared for. The bathroom and kitchenette sink smelled of sewage, the room was hot and with only a small window for ventilation, and the mattress and floor were horrifically stained. If any of this sounds charming, it shouldn't - don't stay here, get an AirBnB instead.

Pretty okay
My stay was ok. Service was good and staff was quick to help in any enquiries. Wifi in the basement was great. There were water stains on the lower bottom of the bed and bathroom fan was very noisy but overall pretty good value for money if you need a central part of town to stay. Wouldn't mind staying there again.

Avoid!
First room I was put in was was absolutely disgusting, stains everywhere, and no bigger than the double itself. Asked to moved and was put in another disgusting room in a building opposite the main hotel building. The second room was so disgustingly smelly, stains from floor to ceiling, the heating is permanently on even after turning off the thermostat so it is far too hot in there, the shower doesn’t work - it goes from freezing cold to scorching hot and back again continuously. The tv doesn’t work, on the odd occasion that the tv actually receives signal, the tv speakers have obviously been blown and the sound barely comes out, and when it does come out it is completely muffled. The signal for the WiFi was terrible, it kept disconnecting, but apart from that, the worst was the absolute filth and dirt and stains from the moment you walk into the main building, to every inch of the “apartment” room and bathroom. (Which is bedsit, not apartment). The “kitchenette” is falling apart, there was only one glass tumbler and one ceramic mug, and both of them were dirty, the rooms have clearly never been cleaned. The towels provided were covered in rips. I had to book and pay for another hotel to sleep in over night becuase the filth is disgusting I could not sleep there, and none of the amenities (tv/WiFi/shower) even work! Was attracted by the very cheap London price, but now I see why! Avoid at all costs!!

Clean and functional.
Easy to find, quick check in with friendly staff. The accommodation was clean and functional with good WiFi signal. The apartment could do with a little TLC but it had everything I needed for an overnight business trip and at a very competitive price. Local area had plenty of shops and places to eat and has good tube links. Taking into account the price paid for staying in central London I was happy with my stay and have rebooked as a result

Loud, uncomfortable and full of hair
Full of other people's hair, the stairwell up to the rooms is absolutely disgusting, covered in dirt and smells awful. The room was so loud and was boiling hot, no air con and no window ventilation (unless you wanted to be kept up all night by noise). Shocked at how dirty the quilt and pillows were beneath the covers and the shower was full of black mold and grime.

It was not worth of how much i paid. Room is small however it appears big in the website. Bathroom was too small and not hygienic. Only positive thing was the location. Kitchen utensils was not properly clean. I stay at room no. 5. It should be last option for anyone for one night stay.

On check-in a pre-authorisation of my debit card was taken. The card in question is only ever used for travel and accommodation purposes so is easily audited. Soon after this pre-authorisation by Dylan Apartment a number of transactions appeared on my account - large transactions for an online clothing company - a number of takeaway transactions and the obligatory mobile phone payment. These were all identified quickly by the bank as unusual usage - totalling over 1000. A few weeks later a direct debit appeared on my account - again i had not authorised this As stated above there is NO doubt that the source of these fraudulent transactions was this Hotel So be aware of this Hotel

The location is awesome...so close to the tube and other conveniences. The room itself was adequate, especially for the price. But there were a few things that were a minus. No towel rack or hook in the bathroom. The "kitchenette" was junky (the cooktop couldn't even boil water). Not really a place to eat. Wifi was hit or miss. But it was a good home base for exploring the city.

Good for the Price and Location
Was in London for a 10 day vacation with my sister. We wanted a place to say that was reasonably priced and close to everything we needed to see. I saw lots of negative reviews so I was skeptical of booking the hotel but we needed something in our budget range. I am so glad we stayed at Dylan hotel because we were minutes away from the tube station and Tesco. Yes, the rooms and bathrooms are tiny but if you plan on traveling to London for vacation, you do not plan on spending so much time in the rooms. Its located in a nice neighborhood. We got fresh towels daily and had no major problems during the 10 days. It was a good choice for the price and if I travel again to London, I would stay there.

Two rooms were nothing like the photos. First room (417) had very badly worn furniture and the window was already opened in a failed attempt to rid the smell of what I can only imagine was putrefaction. Reception moved me to a room opposite (420) whose furniture fared only slightly better, but the stench was omnipresent. Didn't end up staying the night, preferred the relatively palatial conditions of a hatchback. I feel embarrassed for London. This is not representative of a world-class city especially not Kensington.

not neat place, wifi connection no good, the room was very very warm, shower and rest room were like/almost broken plus shower water is not warm enough... Honestly speak, the room rate is more than 100USD per night (no breakfast) with this condition which is not really acceptable. However, the only good point of view is I like its bed.

The room was dirty. There was a trale of ants crawling around in the bathroom. Then I found that there were ants crawling over the bed. If that wasent bad enough, when I left I found ants crawling in my bag from where it was left on the floor and ants crawling over my jacket. Definitely would not stay here again!! Was a waste of time and money and definitely would not recommend. For a central London location was not up to standard at all.

Have stayed at apartments managed by this firm before with no problem. This apartment was very cramped and in poor condition. There was a smell of cigarette smoke most days...and on one day it was clear why - the cleaner had disposed of his/her cigarette into the toilet...apparently smoking while cleaning is acceptable practice!

Horrible Hotel!
This room was smaller than a child's size shoe box. I could not believe that this was actually my room! Just false advertising, plain and simple!! I am not kidding. The pictures posted by the hotel were beautiful, and the room I had was no more than 3 feet (1 meter) wide, and 10 feet (3 meters) long (and that includes the bathroom/sink area). The bed frame literally has made an indentation into the door because the headboard is stuffed right behind the door as you walk in. The walls are not even paper thin, think of something thinner, and that's what you have between you and your neighbor in the next room. However, excellent location!! This is the ONLY reason for the 1 star, if it weren't for the location, it would have been a ZERO!

Be warned - they keep your card details!
Checked in, be warned! When I checked in the receptionist took a photocopy of my card details, even though I had already paid for the stay! I asked why she said for company policy, I was not comfortable with this, but it was obvious I would not be given the room without doing this. After my stay I emailed them to request to destroy the card records, the reply back was that they held it for 6 months then destroy! Well, that same weekend I had a fraudulent transaction on my card and had the hassle of having to cancel. Also I had to switch rooms, first room was in a basement smelt damp also the wifi didn't work below ground. Got moved to another floor, much cleaner, but even the wifi here was intermittent. I will never stay here again and I am still waiting for the response to my email requesting the details to pass on to the Police.
