We had requested 3 rooms together and it was an horrendous experience waiting for the rooms to be arranged. Also, the rate for the twin connecting room was higher than the larger room. We believe the hotel OVERCHARGED us for the 3 rooms booked.. one for 5 nights and the other 2 for 3 nights each.

This property calls itself a 5 star hotel. We were grossed out with this hotel. Upon check in I asked for a room upgrade. Mentioned in advance via email that I had an allergy to carpets. They did not change my room. In fact upon check in I was told by Jon that I was getting a new room with new carpet. The room was in a congested smoking area. The carpet was so dirty and old. looked like 200 years of people have trampled through there. It retained a terrible smell and the windows were locked. You can't get any air. I coughed and choked every night. I tried to get another hotel but because it was last minute the prices to stay anywhere else was tripled. When I called and asked to be changed they never returned my calls or when they finally did they said they are fully booked, I am back home in Canada and my allergies have gone crazy. Furthermore the hotel gives you 2 free drinks in the lounge. I went to the lounge and ordered water before deciding what I want and the staff were too rude. Apparently this bar is known for working girls,. I will never recommend this dirty disgusting hotel to anyone who is paying top dollar. This hotel is misleading as it's truly a 2 star hotel.

We stayed in one of the craziest rooms ever. Glass bathroom doors, a tiny shower with no curtain and with less than an inch high drain pan, which meant the floor flooded every time you showered, no wastebasket in the bathroom, the open closet was in the bathroom right next to the toilet. I have no idea who designed this room but no person from the hotels management could ever have tried to use it.

Hotel as always is a great hotel in a great location the heart of Mayfair with bars, clubs and restaurants all within walking distance. The staff are all brilliant polite, professional always willing to assist you in anything. Myself and the wife love visiting the hotel. Till our next visit in May.

A staff member entered into our room early in the morning when we were still asleep and woke us up. We were startled by the incident and, although they apologised for the intrusion (they tried to explain what happened but we were so confused and still half asleep that I don't remember what the explanation was). We couldn't get back to sleep, so that was terrible. The hotel should have a system to indicate to staff what rooms are occupied.

My recent seven-day business trip stay at this hotel was nothing short of a disappointment due to its extremely poor service. Firstly, the hotel failed to deliver on its promise of adequate heating as advertised on their website. Despite being in the midst of winter, my room was inadequately heated, necessitating the wearing of a down coat indoors throughout my stay. This unacceptable condition resulted in me falling ill on the final day of my trip, adding further discomfort to my journey back to the US. The thermostat was non-functioning. Additionally, the room service was abysmal. From day one, I repeatedly informed them of the heating issue, attempting to communicate on five separate occasions during my stay. Despite my efforts, each interaction yielded no tangible solutions. Even after promises of assistance and attempts to escalate the matter, including speaking with the front desk and the manager, the situation remained unresolved. The lack of improvement led to increasingly uncomfortable conditions, culminating in both myself and my husband falling ill on the last night. Moreover, the promises made by the manager to address the issue were empty gestures. Despite assurances of communication and resolution upon check-out, no follow-up occurred. Even after confirming our contact details, there has been no attempt to rectify the situation or provide an explanation for the subpar service experienced.

Good location, but the room we stayed in is desperate need of upgrading. Been several times over many years and it’s getting worse. Shower dreadful .. tiny head, over a bath , half flow .. you had to stand flat against the wall to get slightly wet … not 5 star… nothing in the minibar, bathroom accessories very limited, very few tea and coffee options… all done on a very limited budget so it was very overpriced. Bar gone downhill … like a nightclub… nowhere to have a quiet drink … full of very young partygoers … I could say a lot more here but it would be speculation. Great location but needs a refurb and to decide whether it’s a nightclub or 5 star hotel … sorry but been many times and this is what I see now.
