Despite the impression given on the website, this is a very old hotel that feels far from “renovated.” The entire atmosphere comes across as overly pretentious, but without the quality or comfort to justify it.
The pillows were some of the worst I’ve ever encountered—the filling was broken into so many pieces that it felt like sleeping on a bag of rocks. The air conditioning unit was extremely old and noisy, making it difficult to rest. The bathroom also had several issues: the air ducts in the partition clearly need urgent repair, and after every shower the floor was left completely flooded.
For the extremely high price charged, this hotel does not deliver in any way. Between the outdated facilities, uncomfortable rooms, and inflated sense of grandeur, I cannot recommend it. There are far better options in Lisbon that offer genuine comfort and value—look elsewhere.
