Fairway Motel and Apartments

Fairway Motel and Apartments

8/10 Good
"4.35 out 5 stars We booked a Supreme Room (2 bed / 2 bath) last-minute on Hotels.com for the Wanaka area. This is what you expect for the area and the rate, clean, spacious, and great layout. A couple things to know: It's not a traditional hotel, it operates more like an Airbnb / VRBO property. We booked late and didn't realize they close reception at 6 PM. About 30 minutes after booking they messaged to say no one would be on site but they could arrange after-hours check-in. With limited cell service as a traveler, that was a little stressful to coordinate between the app and phone, but they did get us checked in with no issue. Once inside, everything was in order. Room was clean and spacious, washer/dryer worked great. Loved the heated floors in the upstairs bathroom and the heated sheets on the beds - really nice touch! We couldn't quite figure out the wall / floor heaters downstairs, but it wasn't a big deal. Customer service was kind - the lady at reception even recommended Scroggins for breakfast in the morning, which was wonderful. If you're passing through and need a last-minute, clean and spacious place, I definitely recommend it. No complaints at all."
