Worked out okay in the end, BUT...
A bit difficult to find in the dark, though it is on the main road. The main problem was that it was not as advertised. Reception was NOT open until 10PM (there WAS no reception) and no one was around, gates were locked and yelling and honking our horn produced no results. There was no pool that we saw and we weren't given WiFi access. We were just happy to have somewhere to sleep, which required going across the road to the "super mini" and finding someone willing to help us. A few phone calls later, someone drove up with a key and we got into our room. Very basic - no pictures on walls, tried to show us the TV but it didn't seem to work. Room was pretty clean and served our purposes of a place to sleep on our way to our main destination. For us, being naturalists, the main positive was the side road that was right there, and a trip along it in early morning turned up some nice birds. I get the impression that although they may have long term stays with semi-permanent residents, they are just getting into more of the "hotel" side of things. The man did have our reservation on his phone, se he was aware that we were arriving. Hopefully it will improve in the future.
