"This is the place to stay with new spacious rooms, steps to the old town and amazingly lovely staff. Breakfast was a real highlight - being an Australian to have eggs and avocado on toast! Molto bene! "

"We enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. We had a good night sleep even though it was new year's eve with lots of firework. The room was very quiet. There were however 2 unfortunate things: 1. Check-in was not so easy as we didn't get any information about the check in. The time and telephone number on the website and Expedia our different which made it difficult at first to find our way. 2. Breakfast was included in the nearby bar. "So our stay was short due to cancelled flights but the boutique hotel is great. If you are from the US, you will find a hotel like this in the US. Very authentic Puglia architecture, in an old Plazzo; thus, the name. The staff bent over backwards for us bring up a very late night salad and Burrata when we got in at 1am in the morning,breakfast was outstanding. They drove us over to where our Duvine guides were picking us up. I wish we had a longer stay but highly recommend it."

Grand Hotel di Lecce

" This is not a Grand hotel in the sense of the Danieli or Excelsior, however, that is probably because they choose not to have a restaurant, even though they put out a sumptuous breakfast and have a commercial kitchen and plenty of staff. Our room had filthy old green carpeting, but we noticed in the long hallway that some rooms have modern wood flooring, which is much more sanitary I don't know why we weren't given the upgrade since we are hotel gold members. The only other issue was the parking which we tried to reserve well in advance, but was unavailable, which was disappointing since we have a brand new Mercedes-Benz . The staff was very pleasant and the bathroom was spacious and had the best shower of our trip. Overall, it was good value for the money and it's probably one of the better hotels in Lecce."
