Great location by the train station within walking distance of all amenities. Staff very helpful. Hotel is a little 'tired' but still clean and comfortable. Nice outdoor dining area for breakfast. Pool is lovely and quiet and a great area to relax in the sun.

Very old and the shower head was disgusting and spraying everywhere but down! I made them replace it! Room smelt of damp and black mould around the shower/bath!

Average hotel that doesn’t meet expectations
I would say the hotel needs to update their photos or update their facilities, because the pictures aren’t an accurate representation of the premises. I would say that a primary motivator for many is the outdoor lounge/pool area, however this area is filthy, to the point of looking derelict, and the pool is closed. I can understand that the pool being closed could happen for many valid (Covid-related) reasons, this should be stated in advance and ‘pool’ should be removed from the listed facilities and photos. This being said there is no excuse for the pool are to be kept in such a mess, making the place unappealing to even sit at. Also, the ‘car park’ is a shed with space for 6 cars where you have to leave your car keys at the reception and have hotel staff move your car around as the only way of parking is to block others. The hotel said that if there is damage they would take responsibility, but I’d love to see how that would play out in reality. This being said, it’s an inexpensive hotel, staff were fine, but just font get your hopes up.

Grand hotel is only a block away from the train station, and within walking distance to the city. There was plenty of parking in front of the hotel. The hotel has good WiFi and AC, which our kids really liked. Our only recommendation is breakfast, I would recommend that they include milk/cereal and a fruit instead of all packaged bread products.

Amazing place to relax and enjoy the southern hospitality. This hotel is amazing, staff are so helpful and friendly. It’s has been a dream . One block from the train station and next to the old town.

Beautiful, but tired
Beautiful room and good location for the purpose of visiting a local restaurant. We had the deluxe room, great space but needs a little attention. There was a pole hanging from the wall which I think was supposed to secure the shower screen. The minibar was a little sparse, as in soft drinks only and my biggest problem was lack of coffee or tea making facilities in the room which is common in Southern Italy.

Old world charm
This was such a lovely hotel for our 3 night stay in Lecce - in particular we loved the helpful staff at reception, and the size and comfort of our room. The art and antique furniture was an added bonus!

Disappointed with hotel. Tired and once Grand Poor entry- half dead plants. Bar area and stools very poor condition. Pool greenish - needs a scrub and pool surround area knee high weeds and in need of garden maintenance Other marks on walls leading to our suite Staff were good but poor management in olace

Good location, nice hotel
Only a few minutes from the station and 5 mins walk into the historic centre. Lovely hotel with outside breakfast area. Nice pool. Spacious hotel room with most facilities required and reasonable breakfast. Staff helpful and pleasant. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room although there was a coffee machine in the corridor.

Lovely traditional hotel
Very nice traditional hotel, convenient short walk to all the local sights. Seconds from the station, safe parking available. First night we were in a very nice large room which unfortunately was noisy due to being next to the lift. The owner changed us to a slightly smaller but much quieter room the next morning with no issue at all. Breakfast was very good and staff were all very friendly. Only down side was the unavailability of the pool, which was a main reason for our choice. We were advised that it would not be in use until June and the temperature (touching 30 degrees) was unseasonably warm

After a 21 day walking holiday plus a night in Otranto, for my last night I wanted a little treat for myself and that was the Grand Hotel di Lecce! I received a fantastic welcome in the Art Deco elegance and enjoyed the comfort of my room and the hotel in general!

best hotel in heart of Lecce
beautiful Palatial Hotel next to main Railway Station in Lecce.. classical decor, marble floors, relaxing lounges on ground floor, bright welcoming breakfast room with open fire, great selection of delicious local, national and international food (hot and cold) and very professional and helpful staff both at reception and also in breakfast room. Bedroom was a single room with comfortable bed and all amenities and had huge marble bathroom with large shower. spotless and warm with windows which opened to back garden. quiet hotel in heart of city .. 5 star standards..

Grand Lecce
We stayed for three nights, fantastic location close to railway situation and within walking distance of old town. Hotel has a 'grand' feel to it as soon as you enter reception. Our room was large, bright and airy with an equally spacious bathroom. Staff welcoming and friendly. This hotel gave excellent value for money and worth its four star rating!

This was my 2nd time I've stayed at the hotel with my 10 year old son. He felt like a king as the room was magnificent. He was ill the first night and the staff were very helpful. A lovely man on reception gave us good advice about visiting Gallipoli via the train. The breakfast buffet was very varied and tasty. I would recommend this Hotel.

Several problems at the hotel!
Stayed for three nights. The air-conditioning in my first three rooms (I changed the room three times in first 24hrs!!) did not work. I heard similar complaints (AC not working in rooms) from other guests too. My fourth room had an AC that worked. I stayed in the room for two nights. It was +35C in Lecce outside during the daytime, so an AC in the room is a must. Other problems at the hotel were that the pool was filthy, very dirty water. Wi-fi was useless, it dropped you off in every 5-10mins and you had to do the login again. It was not the stay one would expect from a four star hotel. Very dissapointed! The only positiveness on the stay was that the staff were friendly, and I guess it's not their fault that so many aspects in the hotel simply did not function at all.

5 star service? is it because i have a backpack?
I stayed at 3 different 5 and 4 star hotels while in Lecce to review and experience as many as possible, had i not had a non refundable reservation i would have left after the first day This was part of a 7 week trip all over Italy and London. In hotels I spent more than this hotel and far less I was treated more kindly than my stay here

Great choice centric hotel
The hotel is just one block from the train station which is a commodity. And also about 7 blocks from the center of the city. It is just remodelled, nicely done. The rooms are big and comfortable. The sheets and towels are good, for me that is a must. The breakfast is good and is near the pool which is nice. The personnel is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended. Price quality is perfect.

Very nice hotel half block from the train station.
We chose this hotel for it's proximity to the train station. I'm sure it's the closest one to the station. In that we took a very early train to Rome the next morning we could not experience the included breakfast. The breakfast room looked wonderful and looked out at the hotel pool. The only negative were some of the individuals that were walking the streets near the hotel which is to be expected near the train station. Hotel was an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. We would stay there again if we were traveling by train.

The shower pressure in our bathroom was so low I couldn't wash my hair. The hotel looks good on the website, and is clean and a 10 minute walk from the centre, but it feels lacks soul, and is certainly not Grand.

Old-world charm in historic Lecce
I spent three nights here on my own. The hotel is grand yet charming. It is a traditional old hotel. It only has 2 or 3 floors, but it covers a large site. My room was very large and furnished with impressive period furniture. The air conditioning was effective and easy to control. My only (minor) grumble about the room is that although there was a grand desk, it was inadequately lit which meant that it was very hard to read or write at it after nightfall. Although very near the station, it is a very quiet area and I was never disturbed by noise from the street (or from inside the hotel). The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, but English speakers should be aware that not all the desk staff speak English and there is about a fifty-fifty chance that there will be no-one on duty able to speak English at any given time, but I never found this to be a problem, despite my very poor Italian. The breakfast buffet was good.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand. The first word that came to mind to describe the hotel was swish. The hotel staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The hotel is really close to the train station (which was grand after an 8 hour train ride), and only a short stroll to central Lecce.

Beautiful hotel. Fabulous rooms. Quality furnishings throughout. Staff were the best. Luca and Gianni on reception were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Senor Brunetti was exceptional with the assistance he provided. Location was perfect.

Quality hotel near to the Old Town
The hotel was a little hard to spot, being a trifle understated, but was extremely comfortable. The rooms were well appointed and well sound-proofed. There is a Spa but it's not yet finished, so comment on it will have to wait.
