"The resort is only 7 years old, but put on your glasses and look carefully and there is a lot of wear and tear - broken railings, missing room numbers, chipped paint (or shoddily repainted spots). The gym equipment was in need of massive maintenance, too, with some exercises not doable due to the shape of equipement. The food varied and was generally pretty good. (Tip: the seafood place near the beach has better steak than the steak house). The staff were generally wonderful. My biggest gripe was the lack of a coffee shop - I was directed to the lobby bar for coffee. Their sister resort next door has this figured out - they have a wonderful little coffee shop with coffee and pastries and ice cream open from 7am to midnight. We went there a couple of times before we were told by security that we were not welcome to enjoy the amenities next door (despite the resort being "Majestic" and there being no fence or sign along the beach). The roof-top pool rooms were amazing - easily a highlight for us. Overall 7/10, not terrible but would not return. "

"Property is beautiful, so many things to do. Service is great food and drinks also great. Is a green facility on a preserved area. My only concern is that from all 20 pools that the facility has no one is climatized or heated. Depending on the time of the year of your visit especially if traveling with small children this might be a n issue. I believe that for the 5star hotel category at least they should provide this service in one or two of the pools to have options. Another downside is even though they have more than 20 restaurants including 2 buffets some of them for dinner required reservations. When we arrived a lot of the reservations were taken. You have to make those in advance prior arrival. "

"This hotel was probably the best place I have ever stayed at. The property was immaculate, there were so many members of staff ensuring everyone there had an amazing stay. Our room was cleaned and restocked twice a day with fresh water and snacks. The hotel itself is massive but feels boutique in a way due to how it’s split by casa’s with individual roof top pools and lobbies. The main pool and restaurant areas are so clean and beautifully designed. Everything was so thought out from someone coming round to clean sunglasses by the pool to refillable water bottles that can be filled up on site and around the parks. The restaurants were all wonderful, Arenal was our favourite for dinner but Mercado the Mexican buffet offered everything and more that you could ask for and this was our go to spot for breakfast. Any restaurant you go to will be a great experience. The transport to and from the parks is smooth and organised. We did a textile workshop one lunch time and it was lovely, the little bag they give you to bring your creation home is just as good as what you make! We stayed 10 nights and did 6 different parks/tours with still more we could have done. We were honestly so sad to leave and would recommend this place to anyone thinking about it. "

"All in all very good hotel. Staff very respectful. Food perfect. Pools were all good. Make sure to find and reserve pool seats first thing in the morning otherwise you may not find the spot near your room building. "

"Staff was friendly. Room is renovated but poor renovation finishes. Buffet food had lots of options but food was okay. Bars had premium alcohol. Restaurants that needed reservations were beautifully renovated. Food was okay. Beach had seafood. Pool was nice. Property was big, was getting at least 10000 steps daily. "
